No Wildcats, no SBDs, only 2 Kittyhawks got airbourne IIRC.  The Americans also barely shot back from the ships, most of the ammo was under lock and key and due to the chaos, they were unable to get it.  Also the map size alone would require incredible downsizing, think 2 battleships statics, with a japanese carrier with planes.  There would be no ground combat at all, it would all be flying or manning the occasional 50cal or a couple small bofors with very limited ammo supply, meaning it would only really appeal to people who enjoy AA or flying.  Also it would be impossible to replicate surprise, as we all know it is coming.  Basically, it would be impossible to do.

Thank you, this is essentially my point.

This map was done pretty well in the WWII mod for bf vietnam.

no it wasn't, the WWII mod only included Invasion of the Phillipines, Iwo Jima and Wake.
Pearl Harbor is an "holy grail" in WW2 games. No game or Mod have yet created a really good multiplayer (or single AFAIK) about this scenario. Some have tried, but failed. I wouldn't touch it either, as the core preconditions just speak against everything that good gameplay is about. (it's basically just one big baserape)

IIRC BattleGroup made a mod upon the BFV WWII mod including Pearl Harbour.

yeah, that's what I was thinking of. It was pretty fun playing, in my opinion.

Finish the Normandy area and move on to the bulge/ market Guarden.. finish the americans and germans and brits first in the west. then to east  then to Pacific then to 1945 all  areas, then to the smaller sectors such as early war which is also fun.

I prefer for the beginning of the eastern front because they jumped Operation Barbossa and opted for the Normandy campaign; while not a bad decision, jumping from the future to the past is not a good idea. I prefer tje early eastern front, then to Market Garden.

The devs didn't jump anything. They do not develop content based on the WWII timeline. Normandy was chosen for various reasons and the pros outweighed those of developing Op. Barbarossa after North Afrika. Just like the next theatre will have its development pros and cons, whether its 1939 or 1945.

Lets see about that them whatever their decision I still will follow the game. If they decide to opt for Market Garden then they will not add too much new content. Battle of the Bulge will however be very intense if they decide to go to there.

As Mr.Yustax had said - whatever their decision, I will follow the game. I love Forgotten Hope and any new map/front release will be an excellent addition.

I think someone put it nicely... Pacific will be nice, novel and ALL that but it will be another Normandy... A few maps in first release for a year + in development... I think its best done in bits alongside another front for the next release candidate or much later down the line

Hey, I love napalm and banzai charges as must as the next chap... Just don't want to sit on my thumps for that long

tie between Eastern front in general or Westenrn front cont.

Western front i think i would go for... lots of stuff needed is already in someway or another.

Eastern would require lots off new stuff like Russian model/skins, T34, BT7, Statics and god knows what else
