IIRC, Commander Assets are notoriously difficult to modify...

But not the vehicle drop (provided you plan to drop a vehicle with it).

A nice idea.  I wanted this (with the LG40), so all it needs is someone to have spare time to make it.

I actually already suggested this in my In Depth Crete thread.

How was the 7.5mm gun deployed from a JU52? Was it dropped or landed?  Also I am assuming there must have been some version of a JU52 with a larger door that I have not seen. (and is not in game yet)

I remember seeing in some propaganda movie that these where strapped on the outside of the plane and where droped at the same time that the guys were jumping out. So they did not needed to fit the door. You just look for the pods containing the parts of your gun, put it back together and your done.

Bingo.  Or it was dropped just as a whole unit.

In that case it would be kinda cool to put those pods on the Ju52s in the Crete map. Let the pilot drop it wherever appropriate.

Unfortunately I am willing to bet this is not possible with the BF2 engine.

Adding kit spawners (or any spawners for that matter) to a box that drops from the sky is dead easy.
It's half naked people on boats. That's all.
Here in Finland we call that "summer".

German bias.

but rly:

It would be great to see it ingame. But think about to what will you shoot with this spzb? -trucks and Vickers.
They already can be harmed with normal spawnable at kit. It will be used few times after patch, then noone will use it becouse they have normal, more mobile with 3kg ladung wich can harm matilda at kit...

... or we will get British bias wich could not be harmed with normal at rifle and could only be harmed with 28mm (rifle?)

Don't forget the Maty.  Also the recoilless rifle and Pak36 can be used as infantry support guns ;)
