How to replace sounds?
« on: 17-10-2011, 00:10:23 »
I've wanted to replace the K98k sounds forever now, I never liked how they sound. I already have some files sampled and ready to replace. Can anyone tell me how to?

I would try this file: <Your Battlefield folder>\mods\fh2\objects_weapons_client.zip. Look for folder 'Weapons\Handheld\K98\Sounds\' in the archive.

Thanks a lot. Now; there's 3 audio fire files.

K98_1P...this one inside houses?
K98_1P_out...this is the main one that you hear when you fire the weapon
K98_3p...I guess this is the distant sound

Can any dev clarify please?

Also I need some sampling software...there's an annoying empty case falling to the ground immedialy after the weapon fires. I want to remove that; also I want to lower the sound strenght to make the distant sound. Can anyone help me with this? Im sorry if Im asking too much.

Here's the files I have for the replacement that need fixing.
