Thanks dudes.

I think the key here is just updating BF2 properly.

Will let you know the outcome directly...

Thanks again!

Do BF4 skills translate over very well?

I mean survivability without 10 snipers on a side that shoot you before you spawn?

And hacker vs hacker...  :)

I'll see if I can't get back into the FH2 groove after an extended absence...

Unvolunteer and don't go.

Life is too short to try to act the hero about a bad decision.

While your approach is admirable to follow up on what you said, you really made an uninformed decision that certainly these folks won't hold you to.

When I quite smoking dope, drugging and drinking the least desirable people to hang with were those that do and for a myriad of good reasons...

There - the fair and balanced answer.   :)

This is very sad news for me and all of us.

Very few people know of the daily struggle of something that will eventually kill you and yet remain in good spirits, refusing to let it take you down.

All of the devs comments are good becasue they knew him best as we in the forums could only know him virtually but he always struck me as one who was neither a loser nor a victim.

Rad's courage, to this day, is awe inspiring, even more than his work in FH and I am glad I know of him even at arm's lenth.

Fare thee well Rad.

I've got a Asus P6T, IE7 processor and I know that you have to match the memory in threes I believe.

At least with DDR3 memory you do. 1G-1G-1G =3G for one bank.

This is probably not your problem but I'll throw it out.  When I replaced one motherboard and put in a new one, I failed to put insulators between the mb and frame.  I had everything else hooked up ok except for that.  A professional had to tell me that.

Good luck!   :)

Just finished re-reading Farenheit 451 - how I love Ray Bradbury's writing!  Any of his books are good.

I've read LOTR 6 or 7 times - guess I like it.  :)

Edgar Rice Burroughs - Tarzan.  The next book is good also.  There are many more but it depends on your tastes.

Read Percy Jackson and the Olympians - all five books.  Don't laugh - children's books can be nice as a change of pace.  The movie is geared to adults though and very good IMHO.  Uma Thurman's in it...  :)

Greg Iles is a good author.

But the real winner is - Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.  Just finished it.1985 Hugo/Nebula Award winner.  If you go to Wikipedia do not read it all the way to the end as the ending is (and should be) a surprise.  Six year old Ender is taken to be trained (think Hitman) as a Supreme commander against the Buggers (think Starship Troopers) who have attacked Earth twice with Earth barely surviving.  The forward written by the author references military man, educators and whiz kids that have commented on how this book has helped them.  I am reading the followup book Ender's Shadow (opening chapters in Rotterdam).  A great look into strategy and power (and bullies  :().  I've got three folks on line to read these after me.

See there are a lot of choices there...  :)

Ahh to feel the Katana again...

Too bad the weapons/uniforms are hard to develop cause I don't think the enironment would be too bad.

It used to be great fun to grab an enemy jeep and taxi yourself out of the main base if your plane got shot down (FH1 Gazala/El Alamein comes to mind...) and runing over plane campers while doing so.  :)

It got to be abused GREATLY though and things are jolly well right as they are now.

gotta be an 1st april's fool joke  ;D Funny, because im dying to play Ramelle in FH2

Anyways, in case this is serious, slightly altered content on the map and a name change would be sufficient to avoid further legal issues.

Still, good joke, best I've seen today because it could so understandable be true and typical for the movie biz.

Good point about changing the name/some detail (if this isn't still a joke - been too many too long from this group  :)).

Also there is no monetary gain involved let alone a relativley minor amount of distributions compared to say other EA offering.

Frack Hollywood!

but even moments later Lobo joined the game, and he didn't knew we where shooting a movie, he spawned and started mowing down as much as he could.. he thought he was just lucky and nobody noticed he spawned behind the enemy. who where literary all looking in 1 direction. (For the movie-session)..he screamed something like "Santa maria this is my lucky day" on teamspeak.

Oh the memories. That was great fun.
All the terror and screams. I can still remember it quite vividly. ^^

No wonder Lobo said he liked that map the best...   :)

BF2 generally is more popular in Europe compared to America. However, FH2 by comparison is even less..

http://www.bf2players.net/index.php#result

My theory is FH2 is much less enjoyable for Americans because they have to play on European servers - with high ping, high lag, etc. Makes the gameplay experience very jittery/laggy, especially for us west coasters. When Americans get home from work they go play on HSlan or 762, because its got players already. If we could just all get together and play on an American server, and make sure the servers aren't divided with 20 Americans on HSlan and 20 on Wolf, then we'll have a much more enjoyable experience and make people come back each night. The current is a bad negative feedback cycle. However, with each version player numbers seem to be increasing so I remain optimistic.

According to the statistics website, BC2 has had a minimal impact on BF2 player numbers. Probably had more of an impact on CoD player numbers.

I'll second this pretty much.

While my game playing tastes have changed over the last couple of years, being basically cannon fodder at Euro servers has its limits for endurance.

When WOLF is populated and it even doesn't have to be a full deck, it is much more enjoyable.

Grrr

What movie is that from?
Did you hear of the M3 Grant beta 9000? They suck a 120mm gun on top of that 30 cal turret. ADD TO FH2 NOW!

Holy Sgt. Rock and His Howling Commandos and the Ghost of Gen'l Lee!!

There was an old movie called Sahara with Humphrey Bogart .  Already noted - sorry!

Good flick.

Indeed I am a kill joy, and I'm damn proud of it.  I'm like the non-dev version of a dreamcrusher.  :)

That is why the noob stick was invented to drive such heresy from your soul...   :)

Had to throw the noob stick in there some way...
