FH 0.7 on Vista

Hi folks,
I recently got myself a new computer which runs Windows Vista on which I installed the FH 0.7 mod.
I used to run this mod for years on a computer with Windows XP on it but since I've got this new computer it just doesn't seem to work anymore.
The mod installs fine and the menu ingame works all properly. But when I try to load a map it just crashes back to my desktop halfway the loadingbar and I get a standard windows error message saying that BF1942.exe has experienced some problems and is now shutting down.

Now I've heard some rumors that FH 0.7 doesn't work on a computer that runs Vista. Is this true or am I dealing with other problems here?

I know that when you run it in compatibility layer windows 98, it will work.

So change the shortcut of forgotten hope to that setting, and you should be good to go.

It will work offline and online with servers that have Punkbuster disabled.
Unfortunately it won't work with the newest Punkbuster updates.

If I remember correctly The Damned Priests server doesn't have Punkbuster enabled so you should be able to play there.
