As Wilhelm already posted on the page before, I follow the Vice News on it as well and you get a good impression of the mindset they influence the kids with. Each and every IS kid is certainly going to become an IS extremist fighter. They know very well about the importance of the young generation and also state that they will be the bright future of the IS. When they are able to establish themselves for too long, they are gonna raise more extremist kids in their world who don't know about anything else than what they are being told. Living in a world where they can't see any different. Very sad and dangerous indeed.

As forn the conflict support from the Western nations is not enough. It's a problem of all the countries in the area and I can just hope that they are able to get to a conclusion and exchange their thoughts about the problem as well as finding ways to fight it together. This can surely happen under Western support but without the local nations getting involved, you won't be able to bring IS down.

I also agree that as a first step they should check their own people for supporters, especially those in powerful positions to cut the financial support. So the surrounding countries (and also the Arab League) might want to sit together and make sure they get some plans up as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more IS is gonna establish themselves.

Them being dead would be enough to me. As the US weakened the Iraqi Army in the first place, it's kind of up to them to do something about this now. For once I would have nothing against them going in there and cleaning stuff up. I doubt the problem can be solved with air strikes only though. But if they are not sending ground troops, then it's time to intensify the air strikes.
Also Germany sending weapons down there might be a step for taking more international responsibility again in this country, so as long as they make sure the weapons don't get into wrong hands I'm for it.

Fucked up to have so many military conflicts with people suffering lately..

Sweet. So this one also has a MG gunner in front as secondary spot like a regular Sherman has?

A Pershing?

Or is Meuse a few weeks/months too early for that?

Dafuq. Hard to handle so much nonsense shittalk at once. I like how you call those soldiers in your videos "noobs". Not only that this is unacceptable and disrespectful anyway, but as this footage does not give you any fuckin clue about what is really going on, the validity of your impressions you get out of this equals 0 as well. How this is connected to your gameplay ideas is the other question, but as I said: You are far away from discussing your gameplay ideas by now.

Maybe we should orient the discussion a little bit around historical texts other content, to realise how different FH2's gameplay and athmosphere is from the athmosphere and emotional context within battles of WW2.

Nope, we shouldn't. That's what you have not understood. FH2 is about WW2 maps, assets, uniforms and all kinds of stuff you need to create a WW2 scenario. But this is all within a BF2-style FPS. The goal is not to have a game as close as possible to reality. The game has certain aspects that are represented in a realistic way, but it does not mean that it wants to be a WW2 reality simulator. With all these WW2 stuff around, it's still a BF-style FPS.

At this point you are just arguing with some made up nonsense against everything that people bring up. We are far beyond a point where we discuss your initial suggestion. How about finally stop with this.

Ye we had a full F|H squad with everyone on TS yesterday and had quite some impact on the game as well as fun. I just played way too much that evening, so concentration and therefore fun quickly drained for me. Vossenack, Omaha (although I felt kinda bad for killing ppl with that H39 turret) and Port en Bessin were great fun though.

@airshark

For some reason I have taken the time and read parts of your earlier post. Tons of people already told you, you want another game that is not FH2. We don't. You can feel free to spread your opinion but stop expecting other people to be happy with it.

You say killing a lot of people in a row is unstrategic and that you don't have any influence on strategy. Ever thought about why good players kill that many people? If it was only the good aim they would die too quick and too much to be killing all those people. They know where to move, how to move, how the average enemy is thinking. They know which path to go to get in the flagzone unseen. Especially being a squadleader you always have to plan your movement as 1 shot from 1 guy can mean the end of your attack.

Then you say flanking does not matter. Flanking movement is pretty much the key of being succesful in this game. When you die to those "fraggers" then you know you take the generic route of the average player and are right there where the enemy expects you. Generally you won't believe how very simple flanking moves can get you to flagzones very easily in many situations.

Wtf is this Gold Beach example about. Same as elsewhere. Move smart and you are succesful. When you get killed too often you have not been smart enough. I agree that on some maps the amount of camping can be somewhat frustrating, but there are always ways to overcome it. My least favourite map in that terms in PdH, but even there you can move up when you take out key MG guys.

--

Overall the point is that for something you have in mind you would need to pretty much abolish 1s1k rifle shots and lethal gameplay, which are in fact the reason why FH2 is so succesful. I dunno, to me what you want sounds like WW2 PR, but that's not what FH2 is like. FH2 is a simple BF-style shooter after all, which offers strategical depth under the circumstances of very accurate and lethal equipment. The strategically interesting part is not the long firefights or squadwork that is all about defending some specific trench, it's simply a different type of strategy that needs you to overcome deadly enemies. That does not make it less strategic, but simply requests you to come up with strategies that fit the circumstances you find in this game.

Again: You have your ideas and opinions what this should be like and that's fine, but don't force them on the FH2 this playerbase likes. While I have the impression that you are talking quite some nonsense, the aggressiveness you defend your opinion with is quite irritating. You have drifted away from your initial point long ago...

It is enough now, your way of "arguing" does not lead anywhere.

Tactics & Tutorials / Re: Tanking guidebook

I think it definitely needs very good coordination.

The problem is that its silhouette is so damn large that it's an easy tank to spot and to hit. The Grant/Lee can be good if played with 2 people who are coordinated. Problem is that when the tank is driving the gunner on the top turret is gonna have trouble to aim properly. For a static position that you switch up after some time it can work well, but you will generally need to watch out for AT inf, which are one major threat to this thing as well.

As the silhouette is very high and due to the low speed it's a good target for the enemy planes and when there are tanks to its side it can get killed quite quickly on long range too. As again, the silhouette is around twice as large as the one of the Crusader. In desert with few cover and vegetation this is not the best property to have, at least not in FH2.

As you said, it can do a lot better with 2 coordinated people in it than to the effectiveness it's used in average. It works best on Sidi (it's an American Lee tank there btw) and Mersa Matruh from my experience. On Gazala the Stuka will get you and you are very exposed, on Alam Halfa it's pretty much front to front tanking, so it does decent as some kind of semi-static gun in a defensive position. The gunner spot is not really needed though, it excels there due to its frontal armour and main gun. But as this thing is uncapable of flanking moves, you have to choose your spot wisely. Same goes for El Alamein.

Except I'm playing with a mate in Teamspeak for some tanking fun in a Grant which happens once in a while, I'd usually choose the Crusader over a Grant for being faster, having lower sillhouette and therefore being more versatile. It's an interesting topic though as this thing might have a lot more potential if played correctly.

Cool!

I'd check it out but I can't be there at the time unfortunately.

Hopefully next time :)

I think I played the same round as Pyjama (at least got frequently killed by your Stielhandgranate ;)). Had a great time with a communicationally passive but in terms of movement and staying alive great squadleader Lydecker.

Personally I had fun as I finised first, got that Rifleman Gold Badge and most teamwork points at the same time.

Therefore one of the best rounds I have played lately. Was kind of a tough fight for victory as we lost the first 2 flags very quickly in the beginning, but kept an amazing defense up in the Plaza, Center and harbour flags, always recapping something at the right time. Agree with Pyjama that this round was very intense and a very tough fight at all times.

Would be nice to have balanced battles like this every day.

Young Germans claim continental crown (German U-19 won the UEFA U-19 Euro Cup)

http://www.fifa.com/u20worldcup/news/newsid=2414758/index.html?intcmp=fifacom_hp_module_news

Holy shit, they are unstoppable.

Looking at other countries, such as UK's England, they can designate Liverpool FC as the team development club, just like German's FC Bayern Munich and Spain's Barcelona FC. Where almost half of their starting national players come from.

Yep, nice success for them. Also two of their player play for my local club I'm fan of and I hope they gonna explode within the next few years. Brandt who turned 18 a few months ago is already worth 5Mio with having played a few league games. Extremly talented guy.

Levin Ă–tztunali, Uwe Seelers (famous German football player from the last century) grandson, is hopefully gonna become a top player as well and I hope he gets some playtime this season too.

Some of these U19 guys are gonna lead us to succesful results in the upcoming WC 2018 already I'm sure.
