FH2 and the current clan situation
« on: 20-09-2010, 00:09:36 »

Clan players, look here!

I'm looking for your opinions regarding FH2 and the current status of Clan events/Matches

What can we do as a community to encourage more clan activity in form of games, events and clan ladders?

Please share your thoughts and ideas!

Seeing just 6 people in the 130th venty.  I bet most have not touched FH2 in months.  If you can solve this you get an e-cookie.

imo most of the fh2 clans only have 5-6 members it appears.  Enough to fill out a squad with buddies to chat with.

For the community to grow and thrive I think that the clans need to be growing and more active.  More active clan members = more players playing == Moar fun for everyone.  I think some sort of semi/official clan ladder would help.  8v8 league and maybe a 16v16 later.

I miss playing with them. I feel lonely in public servers.

Well, the mod simply isnt very popular. Maybe with more diversity and new maps (or areas "Ostfront" :o)it will grow but we simply have to wait and see, last patches didnt got much effect in playernumbers eather so. Time will tell.

In the mean time we look forward to the newest RO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrF3_B5APi4 (Btw note the awsome ragdoll behaviour)

The tournaments (Fht and Waw and such) takes away  some players from being  in clans

I shouldn't throw rocks when i myself participate in them  now and then..

Yup, clans are boring in comparison :)
It's half naked people on boats. That's all.
Here in Finland we call that "summer".

When was the last time either of you guys played public?  Months ago?

imo having both strong and healthy would help the overall community.  both offer different type of social interractions while gaming, which is critical for players to buy in.  Clans tend to play public more than tourney players while there is plenty of miking.  But moar public playing would help everyone.

Hear, hear!

I love checking Game-monitor to see 120+ (East coast U.S. time) only to scroll down and see 64 people on a tournament server.

Both elements need to be strong for the game to grow.

Matter of taste, I still liked the clan much more then any tournament.

You know these things are not mutually exclusive.

130th In WaW kicking ass and taking names.   ;D

Not always easy getting your clan buddies on the same side and in the same company.  But when it works out it is some of the best fun I have had in WaW or in my clan.

If someone really was on their shit they would make a tournament where the clans run themselves yet come together in the tournaments forum only to arrange battles. Clans should come together to fight 32v32, if not your undermining the way the game is really supposed to be played. FULL SCALE.

Tournaments are ideally nice but without getting into specifics, imagine if the NFL commissioner was in charge of the actual teams. FH2 is turning into a sport but at the same time is turning into a Hiearchy where the leaders of communities are the absolute law, yet most of us live in democratic/social countries? Make sense to you>?

Those leaders need to step back and see the sport for the bigger picture. There is drama in any sport, and that's part of the story, not something to hide, ban, censor. Then maybe you will actually get some real leaders and grass roots communities building to explode the player base.

Some communities pretend to have laws that allow the problems to be dealt with completely inter division but oftentimes these top HQ guys are admins as well, so you get on someones bad side and without due process they can kick you right out. No questions asked. They just don't like you. Because maybe your too liberal, too street, or just too damn uber.

This conversation will be one the continues but should be under the name FH2: and the current situation. 1.5 public servers and 2 tournaments. I think we could all agree it should be more like 8 public servers and 3 tournaments.
So they are so infallible yet they can't even communicate and work with each other... sounds like politicians.
