I made myself a gun rack for 21 rifles yesterday. When i was finished i realised it was full. Infact i seem to have 22 rifles. I think i have a problem.
Going to make myself a pistol/revolver rack next. And a Bayonet one aswell.
Are these de-activated or live firearms? I seem to have forgotten Belgian gun laws. Semi-autos are allowed aren't they?
Either way, sounds like a nice collection.
Any bolt action rifle designed before 1945 is free of license's
This also includes to pistols and revolvers.
Semi-autoweapons are allowed but require a license
Full automatic is as siben said, not allowed .Exept for a few people with exeptions.
10 years ago, a study concluded that bolt action rifles of WW2 and before where like, the hugest player in the black market. Many people wanted them for there value and history, but you needed a big shot license for it
On the other hand, aquiring a regular firearm, was flawed aswel. If you wanted to buy a gun, you went to the gunstore, bought the weapon, ask for a license...and take the weapon WITH you.
Political party A wanted the weapons law to be stricter, but Side B wanted the historical firearms license free for collecting purposes...And to take alot of stuff of the black market
In 2006 Hans van Themsche racist murderd 3 people.
things changed.
Now you needed to get ask a license, wait 6 months, go to a shooting range and practise with there weapons, and THEN you get a license to buy a gun(also an exam)
And now the historic weapons became license free.
Result is,Firearm incidents went down because the gun law is stricter, plus the Black market is much and MUCH smaller now in Belgium because the biggest player of it is now license free to aquire
This pretty much made Belgium THE militaria country of europe.. And the system works well. Gun crime went down alot. And this made pretty much everyone happy
But this system wont work in, lets say, The US-A. Finding ammo for these license free bolt action rifles is NOT easy, in the USA it is.
