The FH help & support forum is your friend, especially the sticky there...    :-X

"FH2 and Windows Vista or Windows 7?
FH2 should be able to run on Windows Vista or Windows 7, though you should run FH2 on an account with Administrator permissions on your computer. To run (...blablablabla...). "

it will work
but dont install BF2 on the same partition as  win 7
also you will most like need to start the game with win xp compability and admin privileges
installing of FH might need to be done in "secure mode"

Works better than in Vista, atleast for me.

Couldn't get mine to work at all with Vista.

Die Happy's suggestion is Word.  (Thanks again DH :))

Running Win 7 - 64bit np except for tking at an increased, yet beautiful looking, rate...

Why's that? It works fine for me on the same partition (I can only have the one so I've got no choice!).

Also, I don't think you need to run it in XP compatability mode. FH2 works fine for me on Win 7 32-bit just running in administrator mode. I can't get the Editor to work properly though...

I'm really thinking of having Windows 7 x64 with a PC toting 6GB RAM... Someone tell me if this is a good idea (The OS), or should I just keep my Windows MCE 2005? cuz I never gotta to use Vista for longer than a week as I hated it so, and I fear a repeat in -ve game performance

I am on Windows 7 64 with no problems.  I did not have to do anything special to run FH2.  I was on Vista 64 before and FH2 would have a random crash to desktop sometimes.  So far with Windows 7 I have not had any problems at all.  FH2 is very stable for me.

I just upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, and I've had no real problems with FH yet either.

This is what I have and it is fine.

I tried 1,001 ways to get my new puter with an I7 and Vista 64 to work but never quite could get it.  Even with Win 7 until I did partition.

Mostly related to shaders...

I don't think upgrading is really worth it. Well, atleast not for general purposes, neither for BF2.
Windows XP, having been out the dominant OS for the last 8 years, has exactly that advantage. All software developed for the past 8 years has been made and optimized for it. And most known vista/windows 7 only software/games have some how or another been cracked to work on XP. However, people forget that XP aswell was disliked when first released due to many incompatibillities. I'm positive in the future, XP will be as forgotten as Windows 98.

I know exactly what you mean... I do recall XP being so slow and given incompatibility issues...

Funny how history makes all so forgiven - Vista, however - Has NO excuse whatsoever. Its got all the upgrades it needed to make it work and its still rubbish

So would it be better for me to just use XP x64?
