Very nice Chad, you've been a great help to this mod, your work does not go unnoticed.  I have a question for who ever can answer it.  Will the MG34 be able to be "deployed"? I mean you can use the iron sights while standing or prone but you wont be able to move?  If not, i would like to see that.  I like that they finally allowed hip firing because on several maps Americans and British can simply walk in and spray with their bar or bren while a german is still trying to deploy.  This might cause people to think before they charge in rambo style now.

The reason you'd go right against a window when you stand-aim an mg down the sights is the same reason a rifleman stands against the wall - Cover, and a greater swathe of area covered.

Also, no need to change the brens. They suffer much lower spread than mg34/ 42 hipfired and they are also deployed quicker.

The system is designed to give you NO practical advantage using it in wide open area... you wont hit a dinosaur save by blind luck. The real use is to behind objects like walls, desks etc, where the best use is firing down the sights and 'lying' in wait of enemy.

I was also concerned at first, but preliminary tests have it as quite functional a system.

I hope the MG gunner's will be forced to be stationary while ironsighting and standing up. Just like stepping 1 step to the left will throw off your accuracy. Because i don't want MG gunners strafing left to right in a window sill and blasting away.

As far as stationary animation that's on the back burner now. I cant do anything with that without badsantas help. And we wanted to test out this new animation system but were lacking the animations to pull it off properly. Hopefully if this works out it will be done with all handheld LMGs.  ;)

I'd have no problem with MGs become more 'important' in this game, such as in Red Orchestra/Darkest Hour where they're used for supressing just as much as they're used for killing, perhaps making them deployable on window sills might lead to MGs fulfilling more of a supressive role?

Erm, no more than in current prone use? - Not too subtle with your request, are you? But lets focus on the aspect currently in discussion.

chad, you know that tab he drags out, you should make that hang down on the side instead of stick out as that is what would happen, allso the bipod should "dangle" when reloading!  :) otherwise this animation is Def! one of your best!

Ah, I see you added a "hanging" effects to some loose parts  8) also does it reload the same when prone? (I mean is the bipod wide open in the animation while prone?)

I think you can't aim down your sight while un-deployed?

Still a WIP and is not final at all but this is just a small update for the iron sight standing animations.
