Being the lazy sniper and sneaky tanker I so often am in FH, I seem to find myself almost nightly in a situation where I am the last on my team left alive. Usually I am killed immediately and the enemy team empties their clips and throws their grenades into the sky, but occasionally I have moments where I manage to - in epic fashion - secure a flag for my team, and it fills me with a sense of pride, which is a strange thing for a game to instill in you.

So, this thread is for you to post up quick stories, reminiscing about the times you simply owned someone in ridiculous fashion, times when you played far beyond your usual abilities for a few minutes, shit like that.

Probably my finest moment -

Last Brit alive on Arnhem, in that little alley where you can pick up the deployable MG. I've got a PIAT kit with 2 rockets left (hadn't used any pistol ammo). I decide to try and take the second flag in (the one with the 6 pounders and Bren guarding it, with the sandbags). I'm running down the alley, revolver drawn, when a Puma comes roaring by, and by pure bad luck he happened to be looking down the ally. He fires his main gun, I'm down to about 60% health. The Puma reverses for the kill shot, I whip out the Piat, crouch down, fire and destroy the Puma. I instantly get a 'feeling' to pull my revolver back out immediately, even before reloading my final Piat round. I pull out the revolver just as a German comes running down the alley. I fire two shots and kill him. I decide that I should just try the southernmost flag first and I take off the other way down the alley. I decide at this point it's better to be safe than sorry, so I duck into the little bit where the alley turns (right next to the MG kit). Just then, a German with an Mp40 comes running by and up the alley without seeing me. I put two more No 2 shots in his back and kill him. Again, 'something' told me not to pick up his kit and stick with my Piat. I reload the Piat, reload my pistol, and take off for the flag. I go to hide behind the stairs, but there's a German there. He hits me with one Mp40 round (I'm now at about 20% health iirc) before I score a very lucky single-shot kill with the revolver. I crouched behind the stairs and the flag had turned white when I hear a tank approaching from my left. I crouched, changed to the Piat, and moved just slightly out enough that I could fire it. I go into iron sights, knowing I will have just one shot, and as luck would have it I aimed perfectly - the Panther appeared, firing it's MG into the bulding, I let loose with the Piat, and the round slammed into the side of the turret, and the tank exploded.

Sadly, it was still a complete rape from that point onwards, but what the hell.

Anyone have stories like this? I don't necessarily mean that 'zomg headshot' shit, either.

When I spent all the ammo of my Breda 30 and my Beretta 34 on Bardia and I killed one Aussie with my knife when going back for ammo.
After that I was shot in the back.
Oh,and when I hit any infantry with the Pzb39.
The secuence of: shoot noise, killtag and reloading animation is priceless.
Same when I get a kill with any pistol.
Oh,and when a Brit was going to knife an italian on Giarabub and I shot him with my Beretta 34,again.

(Yes,I am a Breda 30,Beretta 34 and P38 freak)

Shot down a Typhoon with a single K98k shot, when I couldn't even see the plane, in FH1.

Caused PTSD in Lustvig in the 130th after a combined arms training on Breakthrough 1944, when he came into my ventrilo channel saying over and over "explosions everywhere...we couldn't move...they...everywhere..." after experiencing a long barrage from my Ostwind.

Going 42-2 with a hanomag on Nordwind, both deaths were TKs.

Finding my special secret MG spot on Omaha

Being the 2nd public player of FH1 to see the Barbie King Tiger tank, discovery credit goes to Wehrner.  We eventually got it out, and were transporting it to the German main, when a tard on the brit team blew it up, despite a called truce on it that all other allied players accepted fully (hell, some were riding alongside of us).

Any game of Gold Beach.

Any of the 130th clan games I COed....

In general, when the 130th Panzer Lehr was an organized, well maintained clan.

Doing my SAS jeep raids on FH1 Gazala, in which me and some 130th would get into those SAS jeeps up in the airfield way in the upper left corner of the map.  We'd then ride east along that valley road to the Brit main, shoot anything we saw while still driving all the way through all the british flags, until we reached the german main.  Basically the idea was "see if we make it."  Usually we didn't, but it was always loads of fun.

Well, any time when our squad have been defending one flag against waves and waves of enemies. One certain farm and this one position along a very famous causeway comes to my mind... ;)

When on Arnhem,i stole the jagdpanther and used it against the germans.NO german tank got past that Bridge that map

Also, when i was bombing Panzer III on Gazala.Even shot down a ME109 that map.My tailgunner got the other one aswel.

When on FH2, i grabbed the Tiger tank.and kept it alive the entire round. I positioned myself near mareth, with some trees as cover.

AND when i was manning the priest on Supercharge. I saw this Stuka coming towards me. So i grabbed that .50CAL and i started firing......and got it    and it crashed on a Friendly Tank.....

I think I remember that time on Arnhem THeTA0123, if that happened usually the germans would wound up getting massacred  :) Could remember one time the allies even captured 2 tanks...

Always felt proud when I was the first guy to break the Omaha defense and kill the axis from behind, letting the rest of the troops in effectually..

FH1:
I was flying around, strafing American landing craft on one of the Japanese Island maps. Suddenly I get messaged that I am the last man alive and need to take a flag.

So I choose one of the distant flags, with enough beach to land (can't ditch a servicable plane on wolf), hop out and kill two players who were guarding it. I take the flag and everyone cheers my heroics..... except the other side, who start screaming about how I must have cheated, baled the plane, and so on.

We still lost, but we made one heck of a come back.

I was always the tank killer that is responsible to take out the elites' tanks (with a tank of course), or dare to challenge a much better tank with my modest Sherman (many panthers and tigers died under my 75mm gun), and to note is that my ping is always crazily high. Some people should have in their memory the deadly tanker here.

My skills somehow carried onto FH2 and was one of the better tankers during the days of 2.0 ...

I'm proud to say I was among the first tankers to be able to "massacre" Grants with a panzer III there when most people simply refuse to play in the German side in Aberdeen.

Another thing I'm proud of is my ferocity in combat, something that usually brings me "most deaths" honour and perhaps good contribution to team instead of people sitting there. (still, people remembers me as a sucky infantryman...)

now my skills and sense deteriorated that I couldn't even massacre newbies

Yesterday had a great game on hslan...Teamed up with Topdodger and the teamwork was great! There was an instance on Sfakia where we attacked the Command Post flag. Threw a smoke grenade and started firing! I never was so accurate in firing as at that precise moment...I downed 5-6 germans all in sequence. Finally ending the fight with a knife vs bayonet challenge! It felt great seeing the flag go white and the brit flag come up! Priceless!

Capturing all flag on tunis. Incredible feeling. My team made it few times when on server were 30 ppl. Once we did it against 32 germs.

The best is after capturing, every opponent is hiding near flag, and one brit team is defending flag against 20-30 germs. Only hope is frontline from market will brake and rest of teadrinkers can help us.

Final of NatCup, 3 in the night, Sfakia as brits. Fighting against team Hungary. They captured all our flags. I left as last brits. Wanted to capture cafateria[upper?] from seaside. Unfortunatly our power provider was making repairs and they turn power off :D we lost battle, but won war:D

In FH 1, it was on the map fall of Berlin (the map with all the clutter everywhere). The germans put up a very descent defense but eventually had to fall back to the last flag. We lost the last flag and all the germans were being gunned down one by one, till i was the only one left. I managed to go inside a house kill 3 russians, and hide on the top floor. Now for some weird reason the russians still had the bleed (i think the russians have bleed always ON, on this map). And the russians only had a couple of tickets left. So the whole german team was typing on teamchat that i had to keep hiding. Nobody found me, even after the russians asked me to surrender XD.

Happened a bit, on maps with everything - Air, arty, tanks, infnatry...

Defending a position against withering fire, lying prone with a squad or something - having bullets whizz overhead from an enenmy tank coaxel and enemy troops dashing at us in never ending numbers...

Picking off as many as i can, somehow dissabling the tank or at least getting out it's line of fire.. Tuning around, discovering my entire squad is dead - dashing for cover, still trying to hold the base @ all costs, having the tank firing @ me non-stop, getting pinned down...

And suddenly, having an allied armoured advance group come from my rear unnoticed and blow the enmy tank away and chase the enemy infantry off - Like some scene from SPR... and its happened so many times... Gosta love those scenarios

2) Clearing the way for my advancing force, especially one facing big cats (i.e obviously heading for a slaughter), me in an overhead bomber or fighter-bomber taking out the enemy and strafing infantry where I can - Always a personal blow when I swoop over a Panther or Tiger and miss with a bomb and need to come around for another pass only to have it take out yet another allied tank.. But finally, having my men enter the breach, take trhe flag and hear a scrowling 'We've got em on the run!' - I feel like free-looking over the edge of my plane, wittling with wings and waving to the men below as I fly out of there...

3) Playing chicken with an Ostwind and winning while in a fighter bomber or medium bomber... More so, when the plane actually fails and I have to bail, but still get my kill :-)

I think it was on Supercharge FH2, when playin a lone wolf defending the first cityflag.

One Brit was on the east side of the Town with an AT Kit (dunno why?), i knifed him from behind and took his Kit.

After that i take cover straight on the front line and waited for my pray and there they come 1 Sherman and 1 Crusader Mk.III.First i got the Crusader with one AT Nade and then the Sherman with the other 2 AT Nades oh that was fun^^
