Could be for a high ping reason. My aim speed is slow (lagged) all the time with 260 ms of ping. If you plays later on a server with better ping, you see it react mucho more quickly.

Hello!
I would like to have a ranking system on my private server. I had tried some systems made for BF2 some time ago, but I remember they did not work properly with FH2.
Is there a system to use with FH2? Something similar to the one you use on the 762 server?

First of all, the new version seems to be incredible. Years of work of the development team in a mod that keeps improving, giving to an audience that likes the topic of the Second World War a realistic, challenging and fun game.

This is exciting news indeed, but there is 1 thing that is needed to make this a truly epic release......



FH2 v2.50 STANDALONE

Yes, I think that a release with new maps, factions, etc is not enough for achieve 2-3 full servers as can you could see some years ago. I see with great sadness that a game with lot (LOT!) of work, awesomely detailed and made with great effort have empty servers or close to in almost any time or day. New contents are welcomed, but we need more players and new generations of players are not be accustomed to install a very old game, patch it with updates then go to download torrent, install and learn to play a new (and hard) game. It's too much effort to try something that may not like it.
Standalone makes it easier the "test" to an audience that not knows the game or have doubts, because in few minutes they can be playing and giving a chance.

I would see this release with all the "pepper" on the roast, after all, servers are dead, only one have some players in specific days and times. Legal troubles could be a problem and could push to undo the standalone idea, but now it is the most important thing. What good is having the best game if I dont have anyone for play?
I think that now is the moment for "all or nothing" for resurrect the better mod of all times.

It's just an opinion.

And thank again to devel team, you work is very appreciated!

Yes, but spending time on developing a standalone only for it to be taken down is not worth it.

I think the only thing you lose is the effort to make the "standalone" installer, that is, put in the same installer BF2 + BF2 patches + FH2 mod.
But, the modeling, maps, gameplay, etc is the same for both versions (actual, future or standalone). So, if they send a warning, we could say: "ok, sorry ... wait a minute" we remove the standalone version from the web and place FH2 mod files as usual, without the BF2 executable part and ready to go. Those players with standalove version installed would not have to reinstall anything. The servers are the same. If you need to install FH2 from scratch, you can get the latest version standalone on the black market and update or install BF2 + FH2 manually as is done now.

Saying it seems fairly easy. Probably these modification (standalone) involves several hard technical considerations and more. But simplifying it enough, is not more complicated than that (...I believe)

You could add to the list:
- If you spawn on your squad leader, do not stay with him, shooting and shouting. This will attract enemies.
If you can, move away and be quiet.
This way you will not expose the position of squad leader and will be able to survive longer.
