Mystery gun I found at home
« on: 29-01-2017, 20:01:41 »
So yesterday I was cleaning out my late grandfathers cupboard and I found this black box which contained this thing. Gun experts to duty? What is this? Is it a real gun, is it lethal? What are those other pieces of metal? Are those blank shots and what does the green and yellow mean? Basically any info on it would be good.

Good find..

It kind of looks like a Beretta 92SB (compact)? Any disapprovals, gun buffs?

.. and yet, the icon on the grips are different if I look at it carefully.

I think you're right, but I'm not a gunbuff ;)

This is because of the difference in manufacturers. Check the logo of Valtro on this one:

More likely a pistolet "à grenaille" (i don't know in english).
basically a defense pistol using small balls (like a shotgun but smaller). It is not lethal afaik
(of course if you don't fire it at 1mm of you head)

The green and the yellow ones are kinda familiar to me. Here in germany guns are widely prohibited, thus people use pneumatic guns to cover their criminal careers. Pneumatic guns are shooting CS-gas, but also blank cartridges and they are rather popular with wannabe gangsters here in germany. In order to show your neighbours how gangster you really are, you can also acquire flares in order to celebrate the new years eve. Flares come in different sizes: For civilian use and bigger sized for hunters to flush ducks and other animals. The cap for the front with the thread might be useable to attach bigger charges of flares, which are released using a blank cartridge as propellant.

I'm not into firearms, so forgive my poor english regarding the case. A legal arms dealer should be able to help you sorting the bullets, I'd just make shure that the gun is legal before going there, or at least, that it is legal to own those bullets or to buy additional ones if you pretend to not own the appropriate gun.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

Just an gas-pistol, make a loud bang, has different cartridges for it, some are with teargas. Basically you use it like a real pistol but its non lethal, also can never use real bullets.
