Deleting posts already?
« on: 30-03-2009, 04:03:53 »
Im just asking for clarification. I dont even know who the mods are here yet. But as you can see. Im 2 posts in and already negative on the rep and cant find my earlier thread. I put up a thread asking Donutz how he felt about going from about 560,246 posts back to 30. Too spammy I take it? Not funny I guess? No time to joke and celebrate the new board?
~ A stylie joint.

A forum that does not embrace a stylie is flawed.

Yes, Stylie we closed your Thread and i will do the same here too.

The most annoying Thing on the old Forum was the Spam!

Many Devs including me, stopped to browse it because of this. It simple impossible to seperate the Importent and Useful comments from spam.

We dont want this here!

We want the Contact to our Fans and want to listen what the have to say.

And that is the reason we have no Spam Forum! Spam invect a forum. It infects serious Threads and make it useless.

There is no reason to Discuiss that in the Future. Im sure you will understand that. and follow our Rules!

Thank you for your Understanding.

To add to Toddels comments. Lighting closed it for "slow chatting"  commenting we would be better of posing in the IRC channel. I then deleted the thread entirely, at that same moment Lightin told e he wanted to keep the thread as a warning. But it was too late, deleted threads can not be restored.

Anyway, the point is that the thread you mae about my postcount was considered spam/slowchat.

We don't like to be moderation nazis more than on FF/GF. I must admit that it can be fun to post nonsense, but as Toddel indicated, it makes a big mess of the forums. For me it was the main reason I didn't post on the old forums often. It just took so much time to find interesting quality posts, I'd rather spend that time on modding.

We like to raise the bar a bit, and we figured it is best to do that from the start before it gets out of hand. You have to draw the line somewhere, it just happens to be a bit more strict than on the old forums. It should not prevent you from having a fun time here, but you think if we push it to much, let it be heard.
