Is it worth getting the Derp Gun for KV? I sorta want it to try it out. Pic related

I had the 152 before the 107. The punch of the 152 is really great, but you get problems penetrating the armor of the high tier tanks. If you increase penetration by buying ammo for gold you'll probably get a very handsome tank, despite the long reload.

However I'm not happy with the 107 either. With the 107 you get a support tank for the heavy tanks, but accuracy on distance isnt very great and the reload is slow as well. In the end the KV is really overrated.

EDIT: I thought it was the long 88 that was the last panter I gun, but it was a 75. I thought! "FML"  until I tried it. Ohh shiiiiiit! It's tight!

Kv is the only tier 5 tank that can do serious damage to tier 8 tanks. IT can virtually one shot every other tier 5 tank with one shot.Aiming circle does take tong to become small, but considering the gun it carries that's really forgiveable.

Also it has decent armour, protecting it from every lower tier tank except marder.

Kv is best tier 5 by far

It's so depressing how they treat the camo values for the german tanks. Maus is okey, but should a panther tank be easier to spot than an IS 7?

Jagdtiger has about as much camo as a fucking house aswell.

I know. It's so frustrating. Everyone's like "yeah dude, the germans are sniper tanks hurr durr", but how can I snipe when I get detected from half the map?

Right now I am rolling around in my slow, piece of dogshait Tigertank with the short 88 with the disappearing shells and get pounded by VK3601's. Can't wait to get the long 88, better motor and some better optics, so I can actually "snipe" someone. Have anyone ever bounced any shells with their tigers ever? I'm so jelly of the soviet sloped armor, but I will NEVER play the soviets. Never! Rather dead than red.

I get eaten all the time. I got a very bad win-loss ratio on the KV. My first shot is always a miss or bounce, aiming circle takes forever to center. Usually some IS comes around the corner, my shots bounce, it takes forever to reload, meanwhile the IS kills me with 2 shots while I reload. Useless to search for cover, especially as the KV accelerates like a snail. Even If I move, it gets me back to the start, as my next shot will be a miss or bounce, If I'm not dead by then.

But maybe it is me. I got similar problems on the Tiger now. Seems like I got no clue how to handle heavy tanks.

Btw a german 'sniper' tank should be always equipped with coated optics. Grants you the first shot. If you hit the tracks and make him stuck on the spot, the better.

What's up with the damage system?

I just one-shotted a T43/85 (640 hitpoints) with the short 88. I couldn't believe what I saw! I hit it on the side of it's body  just abit right to its tower.

it happens quite rarelly, but it arrives sometimes, and both the killed and the killed are surprised. I've one-shoted a VK36001 with my Tiger in Beta and it was the first shot I've shooted with the long 88.. I was like DAMNNNNN !!!

KV-----> 152mm ------> Load HE -------> PROFIT!
IN the beta, I had my max exp record with that thing, around 2400 exp.
Also, if you plan to play on the testserver, get the T-50-2 ^^

Is the test server worth it?

Do we start with the same tanks we have now? Will the exp, money and the gold be revoked when the testing is over?

Just before they launch a new test patch they will copy all of the account information of the normal server and copy it to the test one. So you'll have an exact copy of your original account. Progressed date will be reset after the test server closes again.

However, the xp and credit gains are multiplied by 10, and you get 10.000 gold so it's a very, very good way of testing out new tanks or tanks you were thinking about getting. The x10 means you'll have a T6-7 in one day, and a T10 in about 2-3 days. (about 50 matches to get from T1 to T10)
