This is real quality here, I just wish more people recognised it... (well I suppose that stealing great quality content can also be seen as a way of recognition but that's certainly not the proper way to do it  >:()

Haven't you heard? Some people believe FH2 is heading to oblivion  ::)

That is straight up stunning. It looks like a shot out of google maps or something. Sheesh you guys really are extracting everything you can out of this engine. Looking forward to the new desert map!

You mean the devs are moving to the TES Oblivion's engine? That's great! But I don't know how they mean to do it when there's no multiplayer on it... Oh well must be related to that FH 2 RPG shown last April... :P

Looking at Bardia's screenshots I can definitely see that flag names on the minimap are much clearer now.

@Fenring: Have you managed to tweak the minimap / map text colour after that "Colour blind problem" post? If yes thanks they look somewhat sharper and more yellowish.

Also will this newly found method of baking the high res heightmap be applied to other maps in the future?

That terrain looks incredible! I might just go hiking around the maps rather than fighting the first few times I play!

Suggestion: Tourist Pickup Kit containing walking stick, camera, and binoculars? You could give the player model a Mickey Mouse hat too  ;D

Awesome. Keren is so beautiful and some fixes like that at Bardia were needed as well. Good work !

If so, apply to crete at the german airbase, doesn't look very good right now to stare out to a vast wasteland of nothing

I wasnt aware of that, if something looks better is by pure chance.

Yes definitely!

As regards to crete, that is the surrounding terrain patches, they are only 8-bit resolution and a 512 size texture, but I'll look into it and see what can be done.

About the minimap text, afaik it was changed from red to yellow at some point.

Yes, that point is between 2.4 and next release ;)
