Few things are more irritating than leaving perfect cover and getting fucked the second you do by an enemy you would've easily killed had you waited ten more seconds. If your luck is particularly shitty, the 3rd-person death cam will show an entire squad wandering aimlessly through the killing field you just abandoned. It pays to wait.

NEVER EVER stand still unless you are hiding or shooting. Reloading between shots with bolt action, MOVE! The best way to survive is to kill the enemy before they kill you, look for movement and dark spots. Learn the timing of aiming, too slow you die, too fast you miss because of "lag".

Pro tip:
If you are against Dazlayer, take cover!
He might actually CTD before he can kill you :D
WARNING!
Assholes are closer than they appear!

Unless your squad has MajorIIKoenig in it, then you can ride his coattails to victory. ;D

Played a game of Bastogne 64 today, and the only time I died was when my team killed me for surviving more then was needed. In the end I got 9 kills, 1 death but despite losing, I think I did pretty well. I'm afraid the 15 minute wait for the round to end actually caused a good 16+ people to leave. My main goal when playing is to always get at least one more kill then death.

Personally, I don't really care much for tanks or APCs and prefer to walk the entire length of Hurtgen Forest, or what have you. The longest way is always the safest way. And remember to make sure you know how many enemies there are downrange, and try not to miss.

A very important thing to remember is not everyone plays with their graphics turned all the way up, and while you may think the shadows or tall grass you are in conceals you, to some enemies your cover is completely invisible. I myself play at these low settings for the competition and because my PC can't exactly handle it.
