I have recently created A new skin for the Spaghetti tank, and I was wondering how I could render it in 3ds max. I managed to get the model in but I cant figure out how I can get the skin in/on it.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks but how can I do with the tracks and wheels. Also one other thing when I render the tank is very white for some odd reason.
-
For Tracks dont delete them and hide the Hull, so that there only Wheels and Track. Then select them like the hull in the Video and klick on a ball you want and do the same like in the Tutorial. The Material go only at the Meshes who are select.
That should be the light Settings. I will look what you can do against this^^
€dit: Don´t forget, this is an Imported Object, so the Track will look very crazy^^

Yeah lol I was wondering what was up with the track lol.

So i look why the Model light so up in der rendering, but i have to say no Idea. But I think some dudes here can tell us why^^

I tryex changed the ambient and the tint with no success.

Here's texture :

When I render this is what the texture looks like:

Something is overlaying the texture and putting a colour over it and I don't have a clue how to fix.
-
mhh check in the "environment" menu (under render menu in the list).
Next to the background color, the values should be 1.0 and not 0.0.
or perhaps a spot is hidden in the scene ... (unhide all)

I found the problem it was the brightness configuration in the automatic exposure options :) .
I have another question how can I get my background texture below the tank instead of just covering the background like it is at the moment and so it will project shadows below it.

create a "Plane" and apply your texture to it? Play with the tiling till it look right.
To show tracks and alpha wheels correct you need to put the dds in the opacity slot of the max materials. you must also click a button to enable it
-
And import static and buildings to create a background :P
-
How you done the Texture? Are the Riverts etc. done by you, or you take a copy of the bump map blue channel?
-
Its actually all the same all thing changed was a colour overlay camouflage.
I tryed that toddel but when I done it I could see-through the model for some odd reason don't know if that's what's supposed to happen(?). Sorry I'm a little new at this :P .
Here's last render(without plane):

I thought you have to put the texture only on the Wheels etc, when you put it on all some things will be hide.
