Tank warfare. Stuff that needs to be changed before the next patch is coming out.
First off: I know that you are working on a totaly new system with the tanks. This is more like a reminder of stuff that needs to be done / fixed on normandy maps and on Africa maps. Africa maps are left behind, they suffered hard from the last 2 normandy patches, and I have the feeling that they might even suffer more from next patch.
1) Remove the 1 Shot 1 Kill at all tanks when you hit the tracks / wheels.
If we look at this pic we can see some important things:
a) the front hull does not touch the ground- logical - so front side of the tracks under the hull should be coded as taking no damage at all
b) the front side of trakcs thats on the same level as the frontal armour should imo be coded as the frontal armour with - 20% weakness
c) The Space between upper side armour and track should be the weakes part and still remain as 1s1k.
d) The wheels should be coded like the thin armour + 40% for 4 wheels. It should damage the tank, but not instanly kill it.
2) Remove cupola 1S1K from Stug and Panzer III on african maps. As far as I know now, not all tanks have this problem.
3) Give NA Panzers the special ammo back so that they have an equal fight with Grants and Shermans.
Grants just had max 50.8mm frontal armour and its not destroyable by long 5cm gun of Panzer III eventhough this gun could penetrate 59mm at 500m with standart ammo.
4) 2 Pounders in NA still too strong or Panzer III too weak.
5) Make Flakpanzers equal!!
a) Wirbelwind cannot be reloaded manually
b) Wirbelwind cannot aim to the ground because the sigh hatch is closed.
c) Crusader AA has a nice splash damage- Wirbelwind not even close to the strengh, eventhough the caliber was same (sure, the ammo can be different, I dont know, but for fairness they should be more or less equal)
edit:
Planes loose power when they are burning and are falling from skies, can this be done to tanks too?: This could effect engine, so you cant drive anymore / very slow, and turret that you cant turn anymore / very slow.
and just a side note: give US on Ramelle a ammo box for the mortar I think this would be fair against 2 Tigers.
