Off-Topic / graphic card

Hey guys, im planning to spend some euros for a new graphic card.

Atm Im still using a Gefore 8800GT which is running out of steam.

I dont want to spend more then 150-200€

My other system is:
Intel Core quad Q6660, 2,4GHz
6GB Ram
64 Bit Win 7.


What can you recommend?

Suggestions / More Tickets for Bulge, less for Africa

Simple suggestion:
I, and I think many other players want more tickets for the Bulge map.
They are always over when it gets to the counterattack part, or to the flags which are farer behind.
Also maps like Meuse, Bastonge, Vossennack, Eppeldorf have a extreme high number of tanks. So a single soldier in a tank, can kill far more enemies then if he would be a rifleman, leading to a higher ticket bleed, due to man losses, on both side, ergo the map is ending faster.

In addition the maps dont feater this extrem open spaces like El Alamein, where you feel like lost in space. So the kill / time rate is higher.

Its sad that Bastonge just has around 500 tickets.


On the other hand, maps like Mersa Matruh, and Mareth line, not talking about Sidi, have too many. The map takes ages, espessially Sidi, eventhough it got changed, I dont feel that German can really push the allied back, leading to endless bleeding = waiting.

Bastonge could take 1000 tickets or more, without any proplems.

So as Im clicking since 5 min up and down to join hslan I wanted to ask if there is any posibilty to make some kind of waiting room or queue. So that you kinda reserve your spot as number X player, and after X player left you automatically join the server. ?

Suggestions / Tank warfare. Stuff that needs to be changed

Tank warfare. Stuff that needs to be changed before the next patch is coming out.

First off: I know that you are working on a totaly new system with the tanks. This is more like a reminder of stuff that needs to be done / fixed on normandy maps and on Africa maps. Africa maps are left behind, they suffered hard from the last 2 normandy patches, and I have the feeling that they might even suffer more from next patch.

1) Remove the 1 Shot 1 Kill at all tanks when you hit the tracks / wheels.
If we look at this pic we can see some important things:

a) the front hull does not touch the ground- logical - so front side of the tracks under the hull should be coded as taking no damage at all
b) the front side of trakcs thats on the same level as the frontal armour should imo be coded as the frontal armour with - 20% weakness
c) The Space between upper side armour and track should be the weakes part and still remain as 1s1k.
d) The wheels should be coded like the thin armour + 40% for 4 wheels. It should damage the tank, but not instanly kill it.

2) Remove cupola 1S1K from Stug and Panzer III on african maps. As far as I know now, not all tanks have this problem.

3) Give NA Panzers the special ammo back so that they have an equal fight with Grants and Shermans.
Grants just had max 50.8mm frontal armour and its not destroyable by long 5cm gun of Panzer III eventhough this gun could penetrate 59mm at 500m with standart ammo.  

4) 2 Pounders in NA still too strong or Panzer III too weak.

5) Make Flakpanzers equal!!
a) Wirbelwind cannot be reloaded manually
b) Wirbelwind cannot aim to the ground because the sigh hatch is closed.
c) Crusader AA has a nice splash damage- Wirbelwind not even close to the strengh, eventhough the caliber was same (sure, the ammo can be different, I dont know, but for fairness they should be more or less equal)

edit:
Planes loose power when they are burning and are falling from skies, can this be done to tanks too?: This could effect engine, so you cant drive anymore / very slow, and turret that you cant turn anymore / very slow.


and just a side note: give US on Ramelle a ammo box for the mortar I think this would be fair against 2 Tigers.

) I mean this popup that shows when you finished with loading FH2 and logged into the game.


This advertisement still shows "download fh2.3" which is quite old.
If this could be updated regulary it would attract people to visit the fh page and forum more often.
As the update is coming closer I think everykind of advertisement should be done to make FH2 even more popular.

Also the FH Facebook should be updated with the announcement of a weekly update + link each time.


To the rest of the people here on the forum: spread the word of FH out to your friends!

FH2 Help / Support / Battlerecorder

I wanted to see battlerecorder files from yesterdays evening
First I tried to download and launc them normaly, getting an bf2 error message that my shaders/staticmesh bla bla are missing

Then NTH told me to download battledirector, which I did and copied to files to bf2/mods/fh2/demos( I used to create the last folder)

When I try to launch a video as free came itstarts like FH2 but then stops and I get his error message



Also another user posted that he has the same problems.

So in 3 weeks the new total war is coming out.

There is also a demo available on steam. 5GB, Nice tutorial, many new changes, a good mix of Medieval and Empire.

I had all of Total war series since Rome, short comments about the,
Rome: history was cool, many different parties and units, I still remeber that in later times I used to have cavalary armies only conquering whole africa :D

Medieval: I really loved the idea of the two types of castle and village system. It gave the game another strategy aspect.
Addon: loved the Irish campaing  ;D

Empire: I hated the campaing map, it was some kind of too bright. Also it was kind of too big and in the same moment too small. 3 continents but whole France is one province. Also the detail drop of the playable cities between Medieval and Empire shocked me. Medi: full castle with tons of houses. Empire: 4 walls, 3 buildings . . .  :-\

What does Shogun offers you in my point of View:
Detailed villages like in Medieval. Province sieze as in Medieval and big cities and small farmes which you can build up seperatly like in Empire. Naval warfarce like in Empire. A big tech tree for the art of war and peace. There seems to be better diplamtic way.


Who is gonna buy it, what are your statements of the older editions  ;D

Anyone playing dead space 2?
Its a really cool game. Typical horror shooter, with very very nice light/shadow effects, sounds etc. I just have been to the outaspace, flying around there. Now I have to go to the CCR area - which is totaly doomed again.

To kill the monsters you need to cut off their lags- after that you need to trample them to get money and ammo  ;D
(little bug. make sure not to have an joystick plugged in, as the stupid game thinks your pc is now a PS3....)

First off I really love this map, for me it is a map which offers the a realistic war feeling. But some things comes in my mind that are not that good, some minor things though, but I want to show them.
1) After capping outskirts, the way to WN 57 is open. In the last version it was the last flag, and cappable after "port en bessin" flag was capped.
2) IIRC there is just one spawmpoint for axis at Shipyard, the one in the house. Can we have a 2nd and 3rd somewhere around the area (maybe near Outskirts where the civilian truck is located?)
3) Please replace Marder with Panzer III/IV. Last flag is a rapefestival if the sherman is standing on the field north of the flag. Adding one Kwk50mm to the hill wouldnt be bad too.
4) Can we have one Panzerschreck at Shipyard / Church?

Bug/Clitch: At the east hill at the wooden bunker: If a squadleader is standing inside and you spawm on him, you maybe spawm somewhere outside the bunker and get stuck.

Since it is requesting time at the moment I request that passengers on tank sit all the time at the back.
At the panther there are 2 seats at the front. If an enemie tank shots at you and hits just the passenger you survive, and just the passenger dies. that is stupid. At the back there is really enough space for all passengers.
