hello i want to play this game but what version do i take?

FH2 2.25 and make sure you have Battlefield 2 patched to 1.5.

When you have the game installed, start FH2 with the Link on your desktop. Don't activate the mod ingame. Servers will empty out anyway now.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

i see only two they have pings in the 100s am i the only Australian here0.0

I see 56 servers with 127 players.

When searching servers, there is a box in the 'filters' tab at the bottom of the screen that says 'Same Mod'. Check it, as well as unchecking the 'Ranked' box and you should start to see FH2 servers.

the same same mod box was already ticked and the ranked box was unticked when i started
EDIT: light combat mode was on what the hell is light combat mode?

sorry for asking something that should be in the help/support section but seeing as this is on the topic my game crashes when i try to go on a server single player is fine but when multiplayer loads it just sends me to the desktop and ask if i want to send an error report to the FH2 team and i can't find any topics that give me any reason why

In the thread 'A guide to installing Forgotten Hope 2' you seem to be saying that you got the version 2.2 while the newest version is the 2.25. That would cause the crashing.
