How about an American bomber stike pickup kit (like in FH1) which will call in B-29s armed with A-bombs to offset all that German bias!

Kidding of course, just poking fun. Thanks for the info TS. Always a fan of pickup kits. I find it immersive to run by a full rifle rack on my way out of the bunker as I join the fight.

no.

FG42 (Fallschirmjägergewehr 42) is paratroopers' weapon.

That's why you can get it on Cobra and Villers-Bocage and scoped on St. Lo and all the other maps that are only vaguely related to paratroop divisions that might've fought somewhere near the real battle the map is kinda simulating I guess. But FG42 on Hurtgen would be way too much.

St Lo has Fallschirmjägers, that's why you can spawn with the FG42 (and I think they now also have the FJG kit meshes?). Operation Cobra used to have the historically incorrect StG44 ZF, but there were also Fallschirmjägers involved there irl. Operation Cobra itself is really too big to be represented by one map, so the equipment and layout is pretty generic anyway. Villers Bocage however is a mistake afaik.

Generally I am too busy screaming abuses at my team for not defending the farm and camping at villers bocage itself, to find such stuff.

PHL 64 already has 2 pickup MG42s and 2 pickup MG34s, at least that's what the files tell me. IMO, that's enough for such a narrow map.


One request, guys: we would appreciate it if you post feedback on maps in their respective threads in the forum's "Feedback" section. When a map gets its turn in the maintenance cycle, it's far easier to find everything in one thread than to scan whole forum.

Also, please postpone any feedback on Meuse River and kits on Luttich (especially the American ones) until the next release
