This is a fantastic screenshot. Sums up Crete.

So how were Panzerfausts doled out? In photos of late-war Germans or Volksturm, it almost looks like everybody is lugging one. Were they issued to the HQ and given out as needed?

What would the rank be of a British platoon commander?

Werent AT-Rifles nerfed some time ago? Meaning they got additional spread to limit their sniping capability beyond 100 m?
I thought so too. I used to use them occasionally to snipe but lately I haven't hit shit with them. Although the aforementioned Boys Rifle bug might explain that.

Well, a couple of months afterwards I tried to resume my A-H campaign and get my shit together with the KuK Kriegsmarine. I soon realised that I had no idea of what I was doing, so I started a vanilla Italy game, since there are various nice tutorials for that.

I've been learning a lot: land, air and naval combat. So far I've only built BBs and DDs. With such fleets I had success up until early 1941, when Britain decided to bring its carriers to bear in the Mediterranean. They managed to sink a large part of my convoys and submarine flotillas, until I caught them stopping for repairs in Malta and sunk two out of the three CVs using NAVs.

Now it's January 1943. I have puppeted Iraq, captured Malta and Gibraltar and I'm in the process of reducing the starved beachhead created during Operation Torch. The Sovient Union declared war on Germany in August, and I've tried to help my fellow Axis partner the best I've been able to. I have carried out amphibious landings on Odessa and Crimea and managed to establish solild footholds while I wait for Germany to link up.

I'm unsure wether to call Hungary, Romania and Finland to war by this point. Are they usefull allies? Or will they be a burden? I'm particularly worried about Finland since the soviets seem to have an armored division in Hanko.

In the bizarro-version of WW2, Finland is a burden and Italy is not.

holding the bullets down in the mag and sliding another round into the chamber and closing the bolt so that it doesn't catch the magazine rounds.
Now that's smart.

So the 20-round magazine had to be loaded by stripper clips, right? I hope that they add a standart issued rifle. I can't just understand why they want to copy BF1 by adding weird weapon modifications that were used in extremely small quantities.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American gaming community.

That the responsibility for this tragedy doesn't solely lie with the Germans. I'd say for the greater part with those resistance fighters.

What? The Germans forcefully occupied a foreign country, what more responsibility is there?

Yes but they were very polite unlike those meanie resistance fighters! If only they had just nicely asked the Germans to leave!

I've started taking German classes. Maybe in a couple of years I'll be able to move to Germany and finally play Fh2 with a decent ping. (Although honestly, I'm very used to it now.)

So, if you have a legally deactivated weapon with paperwork then you can't not put a magazine in it anymore, you have to give it to police for destruction, because that part is now illegal to own without owning a working weapon + licence for it. Fuck logic.
All because a terrorist that blew himself up in the metro last year in the Brussels terror attacks bought 31 AK-47 magazines in a gunshop.

How strongly is this actually enforced? Are you really going to have to turn in empty magazines or can you just ignore it? That sucks man.

Sons of Finland, come get bread! -Why don't you come get butter for your bread!

'nough said. ;D

Looking forward to watch the subtitled finish languaged version. Will be a joy listening.

You can already do that by watching The Unknown Soldier or The Unknown Soldier. It is the same thing for a third time. Absolutely unnecessary to keep re-telling the same story over and over. We have the book, remake of the book, remake of the remade book, two movie versions, various on-stage versions, a musical and who knows what about this thing. It is weird to me that Finnish wars dont seem to have any other stories to tell except this one.

Which of the earlier films is more worth watching?

Is it too late to sign up? I hit the campaigns button on the website but see no place to choose my side.

Not to late at all. There are several battles still to be played.  ;)

Register on the website -https://cmp-gaming.com/register/

and follow the steps in the link below:

Yeah I tried but when I hit the campaign button I don't see any sides to pick underneath? It just looks like this:

Well, any of them, but let's say Red Dragon.

Edit: Any more first impressions?

I'm thinking of getting this, but also looking at Close Combat: Gateway to Caen, which is of course older and less shiny looking, but at the same price seems to offer a more realistic game.
