Mahlzeit,
i think about this suggestion for a long time. in the battle, in FH2, you have a lot Times reload your Weapons. When this happend, i search for Cover, prone behind and relaod my Rifle. I think it will be nice, if you have a Sound in FH2 in the CommoRose to tell your Teammates. It can be:
"Reloading"
"I´m dry, Reloading"
"Cover, i´m Reloading!"
i dont know, is FH2 using the ´42 Sounds? And is there no Sound like this, it can be hard to have not a too much different Voice. Some Questions:
- is it possible?
- Files in BF2 always .ogg?
- Found only one Program, called Audacity 1.3 to work with Soundfiles, export them to ogg Files ect. Somebody knows about a better one?
In my Opinion, it will be e nice Feature and bring some great Feelings into FH2.
I put a File in this Post, i know, its horrible^^ What do you think about this suggestion, guys?

It would definitely be good when one is firing against the enemies with his squad, but it could also be silly when one is being a lone wolf, sniping the enemies from behind a covert, shouts out "cover me, I'm reloading" after he empties his magazine. ;D
-
i mean it as an available Sound in the CommoRose (!), not like the Sound when you use a Grenade.
-
Thing is, as FH2 uses BF42/FH0.7 sounds, there is no such thing as "Reloading!" but instead there is "Cover me!" which imho drives the same purpose.
-
Yes please, tell me when you are out of ammo and I'll come and stab you.
-
I use Voip for that purpose to let my squad knows when I'm reloading my Mg.

Win. :)
Buy a mic. costs nearly nothing.
-
BF2 VOIP not working - priceless.
-
btt?

Thanks for the mumble server again. ;D
OT, well, I fear there's nothing much to say than what Flippy already said. There is no "Reloading" sound in the bf42 files if I didn't miss anything in the addons, so probably this won't happen. :-\

No Problem for the Mumble :-)
And my Voice sounds like a Nachtigall, that than a Rough Soldier, hehe.
-
You don't really understand people with bear voices anyways, especially with the ingame voip. ;)
-
When I see this I think of Left 4 Dead.

I have some nice Examples for you Guys.

It would work in a modern warfare game, but you reload in what? 2 seconds, you dont need to shout 'reloading!' everytime, or by the post above; by yourself.

seriously, while I like the idea, you're treading the tightrope over realism-computergame canyon, and it's a big drop whichever way you fall.
I've used the 'cover-me' shout, in a squad of regulars nobody really paid any attention. I used it lots on my first PHL outings, nobody gave a hoot.
I've used the 'incoming' shout, which is imo the most useful - to indicate a stukka that I could see, what did the bofors guy do, ...continue shooting infantry until he got a 1000lb bomb poured into his face.
I've used 'shit look-out' (same as incoming) to indicate there was a pzIII about to start camping the Tobruk trench line, what did the guy do, he stood up - to see what I was talking about, ...he's dead now.
I'm all for making FH2.2+ more realistic, but there does need to be a balance and compromise. I've dam near forgotten the name of that VOIP thing... think it's mumble, I'm hoping this could be the new toy - the new "FFS I'm reloading douchetarD, cover me!!" "+1!"

The battlefield games have trained me to completely ignore the voice commands. Too many nubs running around yelling
"Cover ME!"
"Cover ME!"
"Cover ME!"
"Cover ME!"
Plus I havn't learned the commands in all the languages to know what they mean (Italian, Russian, Finnish, german, Australian) Just not worth the time an effort to do it IMO.

Snipin's a good job, mate! It's challengin' work, outta doors.

Australian is the hardest one to translate at times
is "We're in deep shit" mean Incoming tanks or airplanes? :D
-
Probably both!
