Damn that SOMUA is beautiful now with French camo, I know it looks like a "toy tank" but it is a beauty. The sten also looks nice. 8)

For some reason, the german camo on that Somua really reminds me of something Rad would have made.. a real tribute to this mod.

AFAIK it is only cosmetic. Generally speaking FH2 hand weapons aren't very complex coding wise, the only variables are rate of fire, ammo count and which bullet it shoots, so there is a lot of overlap.

Just cosmetics, AFAIK it's codded exactly like the Sten Mk. II, different sights might help some people aim better tho.

Regarding the cosmetics, can we expect some new skins/tweaks for the existing vehicles, besides the new StuG IV and Panther skins (they do look great btw)?
It would be nice to see different Tigers; with an AA MG, w/o track guards (makes the Tiger II look much meaner) just as an example.

Nice textures, loving them all.
Hopefully, we will see some "odd" and hybrid vehicles in the 1945 maps as well - like maybe a hybrid Tiger and maybe some Pantherturms.

I think it might be the result of confused relationships between Tigers, Panthers, and various domestic cats.

What is a hybrid Tiger?
The last 50+ Tiger I's were "hybrids"; meaning they were stripped down at the factory and rebuilt with new and old parts. 54 recycled hulls and 32 recycled turrets were used.
These Tigers could feature an old hull with new tracks, combined with a Zimmerit-ed old turret with pistol ports, sometimes with a lighter muzzle brake and track links on the turret sides/bow. Or if the Tiger was coming from a driving school, it could have been a early Tiger with late road wheels etc. Overall, they were quite rough looking vehicles, with patchy Zimmerit, missing road wheels, mud flaps etc.
Panzer Abteilung Kummersdorf/Pz. Div. Müncheberg had at least 5 hybrid Tigers and they participated in the last breakthrough battles from Berlin.

Edit: I'd add more streaking, dust, overall weathering on the '45 vehicle skins (especially the ones with disc camo). If you'll see pictures of the late war vehicles, they were all very grimy and dirty. Basically, the Germans used anything that could shoot and most of the vehicles couldn't even move... it was very Götterdämmerung'ish.

These news make me both happy and sad.
Happy for the cool map and sad that the French equipment is not used by french troops and will probably never be. :P
I guess all hope is lost for the French as it's been at least 5 years now ?
