Some weapons (and their hiding spots)
« on: 28-07-2010, 20:07:55 »
I was looking through the weapons section of the main website and I have several questions.

1.Bangalore torpedoes - did any mapper use em or are they for future maps?
2.Revolver M1917 - didn't see that at all, nowhere
3.Bazooka - didn't it have a wire that was attached 2 the back of the tube and connected 2 some triggering mechanism (needed 2 re-place it after every shot)?
4.Stielhandgranate 24/43 - what's the difference? looks? aerodynamics in-flight thus further throw distance?
5.No69 , No73 - what tanks can't the No69 explode?
6.Sten Mk2 Suppressed - maybe more of those babies?

1.Not in any maps
2.Side arm of US LMG
3.No idea
4. I think the 43 was much easier to manufacture
5.no69 is an offensive grenade and an anti-personel grenade. In theory if a whole bunch are made together it could be used like a gebalte ladung
6.Always! But unlikely, they are map specific

The 24 doesn't splinter, so it has a low explosive radius. The 43 is the best grenade ingame.

- Bangalores: Not on any map right now.
- M1917: BAR gunner's side arm
- StHgr24 is "offensive" grenade and it's based on the blast effect (concussion/overpressure). Model 43 is the same grenade but fitted with an fragmentation sleeve. This device turned the 24 into a "defensive" grenade. The effective range is larger and it's based on fragments rather than the explosion.

Is the blast(radius) bigger than that of a Mills bomb? I always have the feeling I can't ever outrun a millsbomb but I don't get killed by other grenades as much.
FH2 is the game, DarklyDreamingDexter is the name.

I never saw the M1917 Rev. So it's probably from 2.26

You don't have 2.26? But yes you're right.

Went through the weapons part again. Tellermine 35 and 43 are showed on the presentation picture.
So the 43 is made but didn't have maps to be put in?

it would be suitable for all normandy maps but since player deployed mines are extremely rare (i think around 5 or 6 pickup-kits in the whole campaign) they are just not used and maybe somewhat forgotten about.
