The A-TeaM

Things blow up... 'nuff said

Actually, I don't think that beloved series with its diverse characters could
have had a better representation. Might've been a tad long, but I don't see how else you could do justice to the team

Just don't expect a serious movie when you watch it.

Tank scene was tongue-in cheek epic!

7/10

Goodfellas.

Finally got to see it, thanks to Flippy for reminding me because he posted about it some weeks ago. Damn good movie, loved it! I felt sad for him and at the same time I found him a real idiot with the drugs but what a rollercoaster.

9/10.

Michael Collins (1996), 8/10.

It was a great film, though it needs some knowledge about what happened in Ireland at 1916-1922. That's the biggest minus side of the film. It jumps from place to another really quick. And if you don't have subtitles (like I didn't), it's kinda hard to understand that irish english (and I thought that aussie english is hard to understand!).

^Nothing to add here.

I finally watched it and I must say it really is a great film.

The mummy III tomb of the emperor dragon

7.5/10

What can i say, i like the indiana jones style adventure. Plus seeing mummy fighting mummies is also cool

oh and it has an Avro-Anson with a machine gun in the door in it. Also dropping bombs WW1 style

Also the chinese girl in it (forgot name, actress is isabella leong) was pretty nice.

I hated it enough not to finish it. Mummy 1 for me was like Matrix 1, perfect, and did not require the dillusion of sequels

The Truman Show

9/10

and old classic I haven't seen for a looong time.
Still a film I love. Jim carreys best performance ever (the only serious one, nut packed with screams, noises and werid faces?). Good concept of a movie and in a way great satire as well.
I see were you are trying to reach: "how can a 17 year old kid have such a thinking like this? why doesnt he wants to be like normal teens who whana get rich? and his plan actually makes sense, but is too damn revolutionary and good at the same time than is still doubthfull if it works..." - Damaso

I actually preferred the Mummy 2 because of that really cool scene in the oasis with the creepy pygmy skeletons.

Oooh, I hated the 3rd Mummy movie (and I was actually looking a bit forward to it last year). The Mummy was just cool, The Mummy Returns was sort of okay-ish (Sorry, I can't denounce anything that has Rachel Weisz in it!) but M:TOTDE just did everything wrong. It was like a three-year old's version of Indiana Jones. And it's mostly to be blamed on the director. How a hack like Rob Cohen is still making movies is beyond me. But the biggest flaw to me was to put Michelle Yeoh and Jet Li together in a movie and then just ignore the fact that you have Michelle F-ing Yeoh and Jet F-ing Li in your movie, together! That's just blasphemous.

Recent movies I've seen:

MACHETE
Simple: believe the hype. If the dick-hardening trailer isn't your thing, skip it. Otherwise, you'll love it. Loved  to see Danny Trejo finally getting his props but hated to see Michelle Rodriguez again being underused like in Avatar. Easily one of the coolest movies this year.

MOON
Proves that watching one guy on a mining base on the far side of the moon can be quite compelling. Lovely CGI-lite old school sci-fi story by the son of Ziggy Stardust.

SHANGHAI
WW II murder mystery with quite the starry cast (Chow Yun-Fat, John Cusack, Ken Watanabe, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Gong Li). It's october 1941 and the Japanese have just bumrushed half of Asia and are secretely eyeing the Hawaiian islands. Set in Shanghai (like, duh?!) the plot revolves around an american agent caught up in a murder mystery (and maybe more). It won't blow you away but it looks beautiful, is well acted and it was cool to see a movie again that is just about the story. No gimmicky setpieces, no anachronistic political correctness, just the story. And the WWII/Shanghai setting is an interesting one. So worth checking out.
FH2 is the game, DarklyDreamingDexter is the name.

"Mein Führer! I can Walk!"

I dunno why, but this line was one of the best in movie history, I think.  Very striking.
