A rifle and a longer vairant of it maybe?
Excited... ;D
-
Soviet AT rifles?
-
Could be AT rifles, but my guess would be SU-85 and SU-100. At least I hope so ;p
-
Soviet AA
-
A long and longer time between updates. ;D

They're just so... Russian! No frills, nothing superfluous. Just a damn tube, a firing pin, and a 1/4" of leather to put your cheek up against.
I've always been a fan of AT rifles. I may have a total of 4 kills in my career against nothing more than a half track... But there's something very satisfying about their use.

Nice!!!!! Love it!

Looks nice. Hopefully we will see more FH1 ports in the future.
I have never had any success with AT Rifles, nor any confirmed kills.
Any tips on the best way to get a tank kill with these weapons?''

The rear of the PzIV, the sides of the PzIII, IV and the lower sides of the Panther A are all good targets. As to doing actual damage, it can take a few shots, though I'm not sure if the damage is final or still wip.

Awwwww yeeeeeeah! Snipin dem tanks! Is the accuracy borked just like other AT rifles?
-
Nice I can't wait to destroy some light vehicles with that PTRD. :D
Great work as always. 8)

Is there anything planed regarding the accuracy of the AT rifles? Is there anything planned regarding a rework?
-
I think each bullet should more or less drop at a different distance at each shot because of the different powder dosages contained in each cartridge, that was an issue caused by mass produced amunition, I read about a sniper or soldier at stalingrad who tried to use a PTRD to disable bunkers by firing into the openings but he realized that the unequal quality of the ammunition was making the AT rifle unsuitable for precision fire.
I expect it to be rather incaccurate at long range as it was mostly used at close range to break tank tracks or destroy the optics of the tanks to make the crew blind.
Maybe an expert could tell us more about bulletdrop mechanics and FH2 AT rifles ?
I often fail at firing at medium/long range with AT rifles in FH2 and hit anything I'd like to know more about the bulletdrop and if someone has a screenshot showing how to aim a vehicle at medium or long range with a boys AT rifle for example that would be great. :)

^ IIRC you can't have random in Refractor 2.
But the accuracy of AT rifles is so tricky (lots of deviation even with the slightest movement) that you don't need that anyway.
Nice job devs, although the models still "feel" a bit less detailed than usual... Might be just my imagination because you said they are ports. :P
-
I think they look less detailed because they are huge.
-
And because they are very simple designs.

There is a small inaccuracy in text: about 190,000 PTRD and 60,000 PTRS were produced in 1942, not during the whole war, as 280,000 PTRD and 190,000 PTRS were totally made.

Anyway, big thanks to devs for this amazing update. I'm looking forward to try out this beasts.

The commander's cupola should be an obvious weak spot, from the StuGs to Tigers.
-
Forgot to say awesome renders 8) Glad we could show everyone the Russian AT toys
-
Man, I've been gone for a long time... so will the PTRD and PTRS do enough damage to Panzer IVs?
-
Depends on what you mean by enough. You will need to shoot at tanks weak spots to deal any damage, but AFAIK those rifles can be a threat even for an early panther tank models but you can forget about damaging german tanks with side skirts.
