I'm quite excited about BF3. been a long time player of that franchise, way back starting with BF1942. The physics and graphics look stunning.

hi everyone, here's a couple of pics of a figure head I've painted yesterday. I'm using Valejo acrylics to paint realistic figure heads, or at least i've been trying on and off to get decent results. the technique requires alot of practice to get the right instinct on paint dilution and application.
I've used the following valejo paints: 843 "cork brown" as base colour, the highlight was a mixture of the base and 815 "basic skintone" en the shadows are base colour mixed with 814 "burnt cadmium red". The eyes were painted first with 855 "black glaze" and an added speck of 966 "turquoise".

yea on the photo the mud does appear to be rather red, irl it's not the case though. I didn't really bother editing the picture to resemble the real deal more due to time restrictions at the time.
Once the figures are implemented the dirt on top of the tank will make more sense

sorry to bump an old topic; but i'ld rather keep this one going than start a new one
recently worked on this project, it's a really durty/muddy M4 sherman which i made to test some weathering and painting techniques. some work still needs to be done to the mud and tracks, and i'll put it in a small dio eventually.

that's pretty cool! must be difficult working in such scales, that tank must be huge 
here's some pictures of a 1/32 M4 sherman i'm working on at the moment. my jagdpanzer is waiting for some paint but the temperature in my workspace is too low right now to do decent airbrushing work (just moved, room needs isolation desparately). the kit is fairly old, but still pretty good in details. some stuff was changed, e.g. i changed the weld seam style (the kit shows sunken weld seams which isn't correct)
contrary to my usual work, I decided to build this one mainly out of the box since the PE detailing set i bought was for a 1/48 scale sherman.. guess i'll be building one of those too in the future
