Ost Front, Bulge, Op MG, Italy, extension of Normandy I don't care, just no Pacific theatre just yet, Pacific would require another long wait for development, I'd rather not wait another 2 years for a few more maps in a new theatre just to please the yanks.

100000 % agree with you !!!
Furthermore your main player community is an European one so let be commercial, just listen your main customer  ;D
Let the Pacific theatre for Hollywood movies, give us our old and good European battlefield plz !!!  :P

Does Major Pacific include Pearl harbor?

Unless you're mentioning this as a joke, what would be the point? Americans, spawn on ships or land and die? Maybe throw in one fighter if you're feeling generous.

This map was done pretty well in the WWII mod for bf vietnam.

Yeah, but FH has some pretense of realism.

All our battles were won by one side, but in the game any side can win them

I understand that, it's just most of the battles in FH are actually 2 sided battles. All I'm saying is you will have to change history a fair amount to make it balanced. It doesn't bother me if it's done, it just seems like a really awkward choice for a battle.

I voted for Major Pacific because I've always wanted to see it in FH2! Although I've almost come in terms with the reality that we might never see Pacific BUT I still believe its possible that devs decide to make it happen. Can't wait to see how awesome it looks. FH2 Normandy maps showed that BF2 is capable of having quite awesome looking vegetation. :)

Well, I said it already once:

Would like to see operation market garden with greened-out paratroopers, Britsh paras, Arnheim, Neunen or such battles that were part of Operation Market garden

But more than that, I'd like to see the Bulge and all its trappings :-D

Greater detail?

1/ Paradrop for American and British
2/ Armored column facing German defenses and infantry hiding off the edge of hell's highway armed with panzerfausts and lying in ambush
3/ Arnheim!!! and SS panzer group with all their bells and whistles
4/ Battles along the way
5/ Caen, Cherborg, etc, etc - Basically, Normandy Town battles
6/ Operation Cobra
7/ Omaha!!

The Bulge
Destructible trees
ankle-deep snow
foxholes, the quad-50 cal mounted halftruck
SS tank groups against americna infantry
Bastogne, Foy!!!

thick fog, low line of sight, falling snow, and banshee-like gusts and ambience...

we have the desert heat, best captured in Gazala... now lets have the co--OOld!!!

Your idea for the battle of the Bulge sounds pretty damn cool :P

I would prefer to see expansion into the Pacific, jungle fights would be amazing in FH2!
In terms of new content it seems that Eastern Europe and the Pacific would both be a lot of work since we would be starting from scratch for either the Soviets or Japanese.  I think the Pacific would add the most variety and that is what is what most appeals to me.

Obviously voted for the Major East. I was never able to play FH1 and BGF didn't last too long (sigh...).

Speaking about Pearl Harbour:
1) Put a dummy flag on one of the japs carriers with ~1 min cap time
2) When it is captured, spawn more AA defences for the yanks
3) The map is objective-based (i.e. destroy all 6 battleships)

The map would be similar to Crete, just more intense. All in all, another "Scud Attack".

Voted for minor pacific, its what I would like to see the most, or early war battles france/poland.

With that said, I would rather the work is carried on with what we have now though as I understand its a bit silly to go for another when there is still loads to do for the current ones. The variety in FH1 is what made me fall in love with it, fighting in north Afrika for one second then the next to stalingrad!

Yeah, objective would be the way to go.  I also thought defending the second wave might work well too.

I've been thinking about the Hürtgenwald lately.  Nice infantry meatgrinder map with lots of artillery and Lafettes.  Bunkers, trenches, fog...

Not really, in fact Pearl Harbor could be done with a gameplay very simmilar to the old BF42/FH1 Battle of Britain, just with less focus in allied planes and more in their AA forces: AA in the ships and airfields, mg's in ships and ground, etc.

About the surprise attack thing is also null and void, there was a second wave, in fact it would be way more eyecandy with the sunken ships, smoke and all.

The only problem of this map is the insane work to make it good

Sorry but when I think of Pearl Harbor I would have to agree with Lobo on the eye candy and work amount being insane and whatnot.   I have to say though that it would be amazing on both sides to play!  Japs, causing chaos in zeroes and flying through the smoke and explosions.

Americans manning AA, tracers flying through the air while SBD's and F4F Wildcats are taking off.   I would just love that map.

If the decisions would be in my hands then:
1) finish the remaining maps (obvious, the next small patch)
2) bulge
3) pacific

why pacific? because it's a challange, and I like challanges.  :)

No Wildcats, no SBDs, only 2 Kittyhawks got airbourne IIRC.  The Americans also barely shot back from the ships, most of the ammo was under lock and key and due to the chaos, they were unable to get it.  Also the map size alone would require incredible downsizing, think 2 battleships statics, with a japanese carrier with planes.  There would be no ground combat at all, it would all be flying or manning the occasional 50cal or a couple small bofors with very limited ammo supply, meaning it would only really appeal to people who enjoy AA or flying.  Also it would be impossible to replicate surprise, as we all know it is coming.  Basically, it would be impossible to do.
