LOL, fixed for real, now ;)
Haha forgot about that one, guess I got used to it :D. BUT trying to teach Theta 2 words at a time might be just too much :D.

its just lame how they once again nerfed the assault rifle capability of the Bren and BAR
The bren was an accurate beast from the hip, now you cant hit a elephant at 1 meter distance
Its not that bad (although I'd still want old LMG accuracy back. There already is massive recoil you have to fight with, no need to make them less accurate) still super-effective weapons for clearing houses.

Do you guys hip-fire with the Bren/zb./BAR or aimed fire? I've read for as long as I've played FH2 how great these weapons are for room clearing but it never seems to work like that for me, either hip-fire or aimed. Any tips?

Hip-fire only as a last resort, its works only to like 2 meters max(and not all that great to be honest). Using an LMG is pretty simple, aim using sights, go for the body, pull the trigger and control the recoil, you could try crouching if you really want, you should also focus on aiming rather than strafing around and whatnot. Its works best on short range, medium range can also work with single shots (but its not super-effective anymore). Sheer firepower of LMG will give you an edge in close combat.(even with slow ADS time, you should be able to put one bullet into enemy, before he's able to put 3 into you with his SMG)

The only thing that is going to be a useful buff for the MG is MAKING THEM MOUNT ON WALLS! But thanks to the good ol' BF2 devs, we cant do it.

The Bren should be able to accurately hipfire. I'm pretty sure most folks have seen Gunny compare the Bren and the BAR.

actually, fh2 devs could, but it would be a long and painstaking undertaking :P

That's actually... not true... They could always do it the PR way... even if it looks a bit stupid... but make it slower to move and longer to deploy so people don't do it in the middle of a street... Also, providing different heights of tripods (AA etc.) like in FHSW would increase the usefulness of current  deployable MGs immensely...
This sentence is intentionally left unfinished...

afaik Mccloskey is right, however the devs would have to rebuild every static (to use with deployed mg) from scratch
I do bad things to the BF2 engine.

Yep

The recoil also of both weapons is way to high. The MG34/42 beat the mag fed LMGS in supressive fire. As they should

But the characteristics of the LMGS are simply NOT properly implented in the game.

You can't run in FH2 anymore, you can only walk and jog :D ,and even if you are standing still and aiming down sights the accuracy is terrible.

I wouldnt make the ammo bag unlimited, only like 2 or 3 uses til gone.  If we cant get a grenade, can it be made so that you can atleast shoot from the crouch position?

The ammo bag would be like in PR, resupplies a few mags and thats it. And about the crouch shooting, If you are gonna make it, then make the recoil higher on crouch position.

Ill just speak from my point of view. I do not believe anyone here, and only with practice could a soldier, fire that heavy, and that caliber of a weapons from the hip. An M240B similar, weighing just under 30 lbs without a bipod, its 7.62, and I've only ever seen one man shoulder fire and hip fire that weapon, and he nearly fell on his as, and certaintly missed his target. Hell, accurate fire can be difficult out past 500 meters from the prone.

I aim not a weapons expert so just tell me if I am wrong: The Bar weights 7-8kg and the M240 up to 13kg; don't the 5kg make a little difference?
"I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that..."
