Seriously Strat, don't argue with Mudra. He knows his stuff and except for minor moments of German propaganda he is the expert in here.
You started a fight you can not win  :P No offence.

You make it sound as if Mudra will never ever make a mistake. I think it's great someone picks up the glove. I don't have any specialistic knowledge, I only know the major happenings and the big storyline (barring some exceptions, of course), so I'm having fun reading this kind of stuff. If nobody ever starts an argument, I cannot learn.

We're not even far from the godwin point with the "reenactor" card so now ...

Hey, I didn't know Godwin applied to reenactors as well.

2:  Standartenfuhrer Erwin Konig never, ever, EVER, existed.  Nope, nada.

Yesterday I watched another The War File documentary (on snipers this time) and they mentioned Zaytsev and Konig duelling during the Battle of Stalingrad. I was a bit disappointed about that. Now that I read up on it a little, I'm convinced that "Erwin Konig" is a name used for one or several German snipers whose names are unknown.

Nice little read: http://www.snipercentral.com/konig.htm

Oh btw: Simo Häyhä was in the documentary as well, they gave him 500+ kills.

http://dwf.blogs.com/beyond_the_paper/2009/04/enabling-3gb-switch-on-windows-vista.html

Thanks for the tip! I already didn't have many ctd's, but now with this tweaked, it should be even less regular.

When I ctd, it's often at the end of a round, between seeing the endscore screen (with for example: 107-0) and seeing the scorelist (with all personal player scores).

Lately, I don't ctd that often, so I'm a happy player :)

I like logical shit being said using VOIP, it beats the hell out of having to type. You did good ;D

Nice to know it's appreciated. Now I'm waiting for the day Sten-bullets joins my squad ;)

Yesterday evening you were in a squad with Slayer. He used VOIP, so there you go, you are VOIP virgin no more.
Well, I didn't hear him.  It must be something on my end, though I was lagging badly at the time (due to F@H running itself twice).

Why would you run it twice? Oh, and you didn't miss much interesting stuff, I only said logical sh*t like "Clear the flag" etc.

Like Schneider says. When there aren't any squads called Teamwork, join any, and ask for orders (Press T and then select New Order). If the squadleader doesn't respond, you can always switch squads.

In the end you can always create your own. Be sure to give it a teamwork-like name ;)

Yes, this was the first time I heard it ever.

I was on Siege of Tobruk playing as axis, running over the hill at the start of the round to spot some targets. Another guy on axis side was doing the same. After I had spotted, he did the same, but I heard him shout "Hey mate, could you drop some shells here?" instead of "Ziel im Visier!". Quite weird.

I have a screenshot, but I'm not sure if that would help any.

www.gametracker.com

There you go, look up your own account and see how many hours you played on what servers.
I don't think the devs see much use in such a system on their site, talking about how many hours you play.

With the risk of sounding like a n00b: do I have to create a separate account there, or can I log in with my BF2 server account?

Well, I'm a history teacher myself. On a few occasions, I have told classes some stuff which later turned out to be (slightly) wrong. Whenerv I discover such a thing, I tell them so. It doesn't happen very often, though. I heard about other teachers (everywhere, in other schools) who made mistakes too. Sometimes the mistakes are quite blunderous (is that a word?), but most of the time it comes dowqn to small stuff.

What you guys write sounds crazy, in how much time did you hear that stuff? A week, a month, a year? I'm just interested ;)

To be objective is a certain goal, but I see it as trying to reach nirvana for Hindu, you can't actually make it happen. Objectivity is non-existent, everyone is "coloured" by their education, their environment, etc. What I think is the most important is that kids learn to check their sources and to try to see things from various angles.

If I'm honest, I've not seen all that many mine TKs ever in FH2 (or even vBF2).  As it stands, most mines used in FH2 currently are placed directly under enemy tanks anyway; and when they are used to block access to areas, everyone seems to know they are there because its been done so many times before.

Agreed.

Quote
The flags do work as well - even if the placement isn't all that inventive.  I've never seen flags placed on unmined areas to fool the enemy.

But I have. Simple communication via teamchat helped enough.

"Mines here?"
"No."

I have only gotten a few TKs with mines thus far. My most used place for putting mines has never given me TKs and a lot of very usefull kills.
