So what can I say?... Only spent about 2 hours playing (almost all on Wolf, and i cant find my stats fyi, dunno what wrong :-[) and I ran through all 4 maps on the server and...

Words can't begin to describe the epicness of this release. Devs, youve really really really outdone yourselves with this one. Honestly. The greatest FH2 patch to date imo.

I dont wanna sound like a kiss ass, but seriously i cant find anything wrong with this release. people might say that this is nerfed or that is unbalanced, but from what I just came from, i seriously cant think of anything that puts this release on a less than amazing scale.

before I begin I would like to personally thank the sound team on this one. seriously the sounds blow me out of the water, theres no other way to describe it.

Inf combat: great stuff here,
-the slowed down running speed gives the maps a greater scale, I feel more like im on a battlefield not in a closed off map.
-the jump stamina fix is a great addition, like natty said, jumping over things in this mod can be a pain when it takes away all of your stamina
-no crosshair... LOVE it, perfect to slow down and make firefights longer lasting

Tanks: they feel so much bigger, more mechanical, I love it... and which a bit of tweaking like Flippy said, they are perfectly fun to drive
-the HE bug fix, oh my GOd i cant even describe this... this adds SO much more immersion to the mod, seeing explosions going off everywhere! mortar tank rounds amazing

Sounds: seriously words can describe them... the new thompson sound, perfect
-the new louder distant sounds.... ups the immersion tenfold
everything, is amazing

Shaders: unfortunately I still have some stupid bug that wont shoiw the shaders when i bleed... but the film grain color correction etc... wow, just wow... from BF2-BF3 jump in graphics quality I love it!

Also, ik that alot of ppl dont like the new shaders (heard alot of ppl in my squad talking saying how they cant see anything) and they found a way around it... a way of taking the shaders (film grain etc..) off (a download or something) so they could have a bit of an advantage, being able to see more clearly.  :-\ really? like... its jsut so much better this way... idk what some ppl have to complain about

devs, this is a grade A release, A+ from me

quick question with WOLF... i spent basically my whole playing time tonight (from 10 pm to about 1 am EST) on WOLF. It actually said that I earned 2 awards (riflemen bronze and flag capture bronze) however when I look on the awards page I cant seem to find myself, even looking in player search.... also it says that wolf has no rounds played as of yet.... did the server just take alittle while to register? and i missed my awards or what?

just a little confused is all

The video is from June 29th 2011, it's not dead.

Sadly this says otherwise: a post by Anthony817 (guy who started a BF:K thread here and on PR forums, im pretty sure he was at least a beta tester for the BF:K team) on the Project Reality forums on 5-31-2011

"Just letting you guys know that the mod is officially dead. They closed down the forums this week. It is such a shame, it had so much potential. It had some of the best models of any BF2 mods... I spoke with Zefan 2 weeks ago, and he said he donated everything to the community. So I was hoping we could see a Korean war scenario or 2 played out as a bit of a historical fun. I think it would fit PR more than any other mod, as you guys seem to have the most active fanbase, even more so than FH2.

Is there any devs I could speak to that might still have the BFK beta or something? I had it all backed up on my PC 2 weeks ago before the forums went down, but I had to fully reformat my harddrive, I couldn't recover anything from my PC. I lost years worth of stuff..."

as far as I can tell from the thread the latest I've heard of it, is that MAYBE the content has some potential to go the way of Project Normandy

So we got the pre-release client, the server files, the changelog, all maps were shown, new inf, vehicle and plane changes were shown, yet there will be one more update between now and the release.... what else can possibly be shown! :o

just makes me that much more sad that this mod had to die... maybe the FH devs could talk to some of the old developers (seeing as how were always in need of more) judging from the work that they did they are very talented imo. they have some really good looking stuff there

Agreed, I hate playing those big maps with less than 20 or so ppl

Sadly I won't be able to make this one, have a lovely sendoff and im SURE that I will be there in 2.4

great update... now i just need to get myself a damn joystick so i can enjoy the new aircraft to the max 8)

but dammit Friday can't come soon enough, each day i just become more and more anxious to PLAY!

ye this mod is offically dead... i think a former dev said so on the PR forums....

sad too, their models skins etc... looked very nice, wouldve loved to see what their maps looked like... also I think there was only ever 2 to 3 ppl working on it at most, really wouldve liked to see the finsished product :(

Oh hell yea!... what an update, sadly now no update will satisfy me untill the one where i can DL FH2.4 ;D

The map looks great, really dense forest fighting, and the awards will be for all servers now! no more playing the same 7 or whatever maps in a row on 762

Removal of crosshair- love the sound of it

and new mroe immersive movement- sounds very promising
can any devs say what kind of specific changes have been made?
i.e. is it like pr where your momentum carrys you a bit when you stop moving forward and you move slower overall? or something completely differnt?
