Of course, one must happy with this news, BoB was more or less the best WW2 production ever for most people. The Pacific was somewhat disappointing compared to BoB, but still very interesting and good. So yeah, I'm expecting that this will be quality stuff as well.
Regarding the theme, in order to ensure ratings and financing, as well as general interest. The US always has to be the primary focal point. That is never gonna change.
So it's the airwar then, and after this the only things left are the naval and secret service stories (please BBC do a good series on the secret service in WW2 - ratings will go through the roof). They will be looking at Memphis Belle hopefully, can't remember any other good modern airwar movies.
Time to read the book, and indeed hope that they manage to write in a story on a German pilot for example and his life in Germany to make it a bit less one-sided.
