Blitzkrieg. Not the sequal, the origional. Epic gameplay and even decent graphics by today's standards.

I only wish I knew how to make it work on Vista :'(

Company Of Heroes - for the fokking win!

thats THE strategy game for me. bought it on release 2006 and im still playing it. before that i was more a cnc fan but other strategy-games just annoying me now - build units and right klick. in fact COH is the only game i play next to fh2.

- the graphics are still very good - especially artillery looks awesome.

- the factions are VERY unique. they gain veterancy on different ways - fighting and getting regular veterancy, fighting and then choosing between offensive or defensive bonuses, buying it, or with the help of captains and LTs.
The brits for example excell at the defensive while the SS, oh sorry "panzer-elite" is best used for fast hit and run engagements, usa excell at early game infantry, and wehrmacht is unbeatable late game with its armor and experienced troops.

- the tactics and skill you need to be succesfull in this game are just awesome.

- the only let-down of this game are some of the skins - e.g: grey stugs, grenadiers in white camo in normandy - but this is easily solved with a skin pack.

- furthermore there is also a very popular mod for it : coh-blitzkrieg-mod. check that also - it focuses on realism and has a shitload of new units and skins.

Kading, my beautiful beautiful friend. Have you tried running in compatibility mode and as admin?
I managed to get Blitzkrieg to work perfectly on the Vista 32bit laptop I used to own

Let's not forget the Eastern Front Mod, that includes a new allied faction, the Soviets, an alternate 'reward' British army based on the Royal Marines and in the future, a very unique Ostheer army.

Men of war games are total win.

- Theatre of War. Kinda... hardcore. But very good indeed. Theatre of War 2 is worth checking out too.

- Order of War. Wargaming.net's (WoT) previous game.

(People sure have a lot of imagination when it comes to naming WWII RTS games.)
