Hi,
when i start a singleplayer map i get a bluescreen as soon as the map finished loading. I assume a problem with the AI, but have no further idea. Tried several maps. Vanilla BF2 no problems, FH2 online no problems. Latest BF2/FH2 patches. Win7 64bit.
Anny suggestions?

I get the exact same thing.
Fortunately, I have dual boot OSes and I can run it in XP fine, but in Windows 7, BSOD at map load
There is respite in that, if I delete my Fh2 folder in 'my documents' and create a new account, I have one map list I can play on condition I don't exit and create a new maplist. After which BSOD returns.
Any one find a solution for this? Might not just be in SP though...

So it's not just me.
I've only played a few rounds of SP because of this BSOD bullshit.
It's always a 'portcls' related crash, which I used to get quite frequently if I had the audio to set "Ultra high".
Dropping it down to "High" fixed it in earlier versions, but with the same settings in 2.45 I get this BSOD 60-70% of the time (in SP, MP seems fine so far).
I'll try dropping it to "Medium", hopefully that'll fix it.
(I'm running an X-Fi Titanium on Win 7.)

No good. Dropped it down to low and it still CTDed.

I'm running on windows 7 64 bit and I don't get this at all ???
My settings are around about medium. If this ever happens to me though I think I'll ragequit life because I only ever play SP...

It never happened before. I just started happening a week ago, and it happens now ever since.

Thanks. When i delete "~\Documents\Forgottenhp 2\Profiles\0002\mapList.con" before i start the game, i can play singleplayer. as soon as i exit the game/map, i have to delete the file and restart the game.
-
Its no solution, but at least a stopgap.
Anyone know why this actually occurs and how to solve it?
-
I've got no idea why deleting the mapList.con would affect the audio...but dropping the Quality setting back to Medium seems to have solved it for me.
Audio Renderer: X-Fi
Audio Quality: Medium
Successfully loaded 6 maps in a row (so far).

Audio Renderer: X-Fi
Audio Quality: Medium
Works for me too. Thanks!
I'm wondering if there is a difference in the sound quality now.
-
There would be, but I doubt you'd be able to notice it without directly comparing the two.
Doesn't really sound any different to me, I guess it's just using less voices/channels or something on Medium... :-\
