Nice to see the Italians getting some attention. Are there any plans to remake the Italian weapons? Some were ported from FH1 if I remember correctly.
-
Down the line maybe. It's not the focus right now, but whenever someone gets a chance to update the Italians we'll add stuff in. I had this thing lying around for a long time before I finally got the chance to clean it up and put it in game.
-
I'm glad to see the Italians are getting new stuff. I suppose the mine will be in the scout kit in north afrika maps, right
-
All the Italian kits with AP mines, yup
-
Awesome, great job Matthew! Looking forward to spamming these fancy mines all over Bardia!
How will the explosive bullets work? Just a small area damage? How limited will the ammo be?

Area of effect is I think about a metre or so. The bullets are an instant kill even on limb shots, and will critically wound if they splash near to the head.
At the moment, you get 10.

Splash damage radius is 1.5-1.6 meters, but any serious damage can be done only with really near shots. A shot near soldiers head should critically wound him (make him bleed) or kill him if you're lucky. Radius and damage is big enough to wound / kill APC or AT guns crews when you land a shot on a shield or armor plate next to their faces. As eat Eat Uranium said, explosive ammo will be always a 1s1k on all hits, no matter the body part and distance. On top of that the suppression radius is 2.5 meters.

Thanks everyone for sharing additional info, sounds quite cool. Any chance the AT rifles could get a small amount of splash damage too? After all they were often used to cause spalling/fragments to injure anyone unfortunate enough to be standing behind hard cover?
-
They do. They always did. AT rifles in the mod are 100% 1s1k against infantry. They deal stupid amount of damage so if you ever seen a hit marker without dropping anyone down, it was the splash damage.
