You realize the bombing was an accident....

And also that the swiss airforce was responsible for several dog fights and victories against the german and american airforces for intruding their airspace.

I would have been the smartass dieing in france or begium thereby saving 100 others of my company only to be send to russia next. What an ironic betrayal.

Based on my age and where I live, I'd probably be conscripted into one of Britain's Home Counties regiments and shipped over on D-Day. If I were a little older I may have got into the North African or Italian campaigns.

I would also, I suspect, have shat myself.

If the first, Germany, naturally.
