out of curiosity, why the official maps may contain "NA" statics  and not the customs maps?  :-[

You can if you want/need to, but it will have a negative impact on the overall performance of your map since it has to load both Normandy and North African texture sheets.

In the case of Anctoville, it might be simple oversight or it was the only version of the wall static available.

I think we are trying to phase out that static. All I'm saying is be careful when using NA statics. If you aren't, Toddel will come down from high heaven and throw a static_texture_usage.txt file at you...

last time i checked the german pup tents are NA statics (as an example to every normandy map that uses them) ;) there are various NA statics in normandy maps, not only Ancto

well the tents are not really a NA static only. they load 1 texture they do that in africa and in normandy. if you want they are just in the bad folder in the mod. that all

He couldn't think of anything bad about your maps so he had to use that, your map is really nice loved your other map.  :)

Well lol it's not like we need to explain why we use our own statics in our internal maps, or?... Azreal is only giving recommendations to not put a too heavy texture load in the custom maps. You don't have to follow any rules when you make maps for yourself or your friends or public download. It is quite different to build a map for yourself than to build it for full servers.
