I like this so far. I think one thing that really needs to be changed is the actual coding of the sounds, many of the sounds mix together quite easily, 3rd person and distant sounds on SMG's are an example here.

Other than the thompson sounds though, I really like this mod. The Rifles could be louder, but the distant sounds I find to be great, I'm currently mixing it together with my own personal mod to make one master mod that changes this and other things around.

Keep at it!

Well, I tried it...

My simple response... Its... bad

Now, again, I reiterate, there is a reason to get audio from non-overused sound sources, especially other than movies and games........................

I think the original FH2 sounds is actually laughable.  ;)

Alright after trying it my only remark is the external sound of rifles.I think they need a bit more power to them as they now sound like blanks on kids weapon...Paf paf Paf ... Other than that a few minor fixes on some sounds and it will be one hell of a sound mod!

Tested .... not bad , not bad ... one thing is me bugging .
37 mm from Stuart sounds like almost a 105 mm howitzer , not like for light tank gun  ;D
I cant wait for improved sound pack  :)

Debatable

Well that was me being as frank as possible. If you see it worth considering, you might have a good pack yet - otherwise there's little else to say if you don't see where i am coming from.

GUNS ARE NOT LOUD ENOUGH.... - need more volume!

Thompson/thommy- Needs a change big time.. this is horrible
MP40- its ok.. it also needs help
Garand- not loud enough. also sounds like its slightly clipped off sound wise
BAR- sounds great..- needs to be louder and a bit more bass.
K98- not enough pitch.. not a long enough sound to me.. it sounds too low in bass and not loud enough
Besa mg- sounds terrible...horrific really. need better big time
30 cal- sounds good.. maybe a bit louder.. and MAYBE a bit more bass.
50- meh not a big fan at all.. the 50 from PR is the best ive ever heard.
love the lewis
love the vickers
i like the no4
like the bren

im guessing non of the italian stuff has been touched?

STG- doesnt sound like its insync with the firing.. it sounds ok not the best..
ALL gun sounds  need to be louder they are not very audible

cannons..
love the american cannons BUT
i feel the 37/40mm should be the 50mm sound and the 50mm sound be the 37/40mm sound

also the panther i dont hear much a change if there is any i didnt hear it
tiger sounded fine.
P4 fine

hope you work on vehicle engine and start up sounds

hope you continue to update this i look forward to this!!!!! big time!

I think Video->Audio extraction from movies and rip from other games to make "ultimate sound pack" is laughable

Steven SpielBerg's audio technicians made these sounds, not you. :-\

Let's all be friends.

I winced when I read that statement too, and I thought it quite insulting, but its an opinion. Can't argue that out.

The Germans,US and Brits did all the uniforms,Tanks, airplanes, equipment and god made the world we live in which contains the battlefields...So what ? they are all still in the game...

but have to agree unique sounds are better.

I think Natty's point was, you dont insult a game with unique sounds and pretty damn good sound, for an ALFA version of a mod where most of the sounds are ripoffs from movies. And personally, alot of them are even more gamey than FH2's. STG44 for instance is terrible and indistinct imo, but SOMEHOW everyone here is hailing it as the best thing since sliced bread.

Now I think it can get good. Not because it is currently, but because its a custom work, and WIP, so it can ALWAYS get better - But I find it presumptuous to call the orginal, which IMO, is one of the best you'd get in any game (Definitely better than the blah sounds of COD for instance), 'laughable', when the custom one doesn't EVEN touch it yet.

Good yes they are but some sounds in FH2 just don't cut it for players and i guess that's why this thing is getting more attention...I mean the Flak 88 have you heard that in the sound mod? It finally sounds like a damn killing machine !

What good is 3 scary sounds (We didn't say more believable btw), when 30 are just cacophony.

Have you played these online or in COOP to hear how terrible it all is.

It makes Fh2's sound like music. Something they dont tell you in sound making, the final proof of the pudding, when all the sound sources sound believable as being from the same world, is when you play a map like PHL SP and it all works well together...

Currently, its 3 steps backwards.

I just felt a tad insulted when the creator of THAT says FH2 sound is laughable. VERY insulted. And I imagine the poor devs who worked hard to keep improving the game sounds (also sound modders btw) are told this of THEIR work, when YOU can't take a harsh criticism without feeling slighted.

WHAT? you think THEY are droids maybe? or the 'Evil coorporate game industry'? They are single modders like yourself who worked hours and tweaked over and over since 2.0 to get what you have now. OIfcourse, I would be insulted for them.

Get it good, get it right, but don't diss the vanilla that so many still like, when, imo your newly made cappuccino still sucks balls.
