General Discussion / Re: The Crash to Desktop Issue

Might as well tell my experiences. In 2.1 this was commonplace, but in 2.15 it happens maybe once in a week (if I would play every night).
My system: AMD3000+/32bit single-core, GF7600, 2GB, WinXPHome. Framerates are adequate when I leave some details off, only sudden 180 degree turns in the middle of Mareth Line might cause stuttering. I quit all other programs except firewall/antivirus, desktop manager and such before playing.
The game crashes to desktop usually when I'm driving a tank. In Aberdeen, in a British tank coming towards the central village, as soon as the village should appear from the fog. In Sidi Rezegh, in a British tank coming towards German lines, as soon as the HQ building or hangars should appear from the fog. In El Alamein, in a British tank coming towards the central ridge, just as the base on top of it should appear from the fog.
However, this happens usually after my comp has been running a while, and there might be old processes still cluttering up the memory and causing conflicts even if I have quit those programs. Rebooting and starting "clean" helps - as a matter of fact, I cannot remember when this would have happened to me if I started to play just after rebooting.
