Marmon Herrington MkIII
« on: 17-08-2010, 11:08:43 »
OK. So basically it was an armored car but the crack and the gun elevation makes me think it was used as an Anti-aircraft mobile gun carriage. The main gun has explosive bullets as I'm noticing.

Confusing vehicle to use sometimes because you have to control the turret in the drivers seat and your view is always facing forward unless looking through the scope.

The South African Reconnaissance Car was, like it's name seems to indicate, was a reconnaissance vehicle. The original armament of one Boys rifle and one machine gun was considered inadequate by the British and the modified their Marmon-Herrington (like they called it) to carry various different weapons, including 20 mm autocannons. I have not heard that it would ever be used as an AA vehicle. This, of course, doesn't mean that you couldn't do that in FH2.

I've pretty much seen everything used as for AA, from this to a Tiger to a Thompson M1928.

Epic moment. It just fell out of the sky ..

Corvax, you being a war photographer must have a pic of this event.

and it dies from 2 at-rifle shots.
still the verison we got ingame is a field modified version, using captured italian autocannons, most likely from the Carro Armato L6/40.

Quit wanking off during your epicness and you have a free hand  ;) That picture would have been worth millions on Ebay.
You could have been on the cover of Time with subtitles like "Shot heard 'round the world" and "Move over John Wayne"
