Sure.
Light Tank Mk.VIb have 12,7-mm machinegun, he can fight against armored cars, halftracks, and light tanks (PzKpfw.II from sides and rear). Pz.Kpfw.I have 2X7,92-mm machineguns only.

7.92 mm AP rounds must have been only a last-ditch self-defence measure. Or something to ease them minds of the tank crews:
"Just shoot us, we won't go into combat in that paper coffin."
"Don't be so negative, here's some über ARMOUR PIERCING rounds, so you can 1s1k that pesky Matilda."
Nobody in their right mind (Japanese excluded) would have gone into any kind of offensive tank-hunting with a vehicle which any .50 cal weapon will RAEP, saw in half, etc. So Mk VI, Daimler, Marmon III etc. are still superior as they have weapons which have at least some use.

Plus, the Pz1 was produced in smaller numbers than Mk VI and was phased out earlier: in the French campaign, only about 1/5 of German panzers were Pz1's while 9/10 of BEF tanks were Mk VIs. Making Pz1 just for Olympus, Gazala & Siege of Tobruk is meh as long as we're lacking the 37 mm early variant(s) of Pz3 which were actually more numerous at the time. IF we had French/Polish campaign upcoming, then Pz1 would be worth the effort. But even then, 37 mm Pz3 would be more useful from gaming point of view.

Course its useful, damnit!

Its not like tractors were useful.

The Panzer 1 is a completly historically correct tank to have for Greece, early North Africa, AND Normandy (cough cough, Panzer 1C was there).  Sure its a useless piece of crap tank, but that's part of the reason that we love it, even if it was a death trap.

In the Spanish Civil War panzer I's were able to take out Republican t-26's at about 150 metres, though generally Republican BA-10's took  out any Panzer I's first.  Actually the Nationalists used almost as many captured T-26's as Panzer I's, but they still used the ammo.

No thats impossible, you and books. I say incorrect.

Yeah, and T-26 (those m1931's with 37 mm in one of the twin turrets, or m1933 with the 45 mm) will take out Pz1 at any range. And we don't have any SCW maps.

Pz1 is an essential part of early war, and yes, it's about as useful as an anti-infantry tank as the Vickers Mk VI. But for current maps and time periods, I still think there are more noteworthy or gameplay-wise useful vehicles. Like the aforementioned Pz3 E/F with the 37 mm KwK36; Humber armoured car for NA; Jagdpanzer IV; Centaur IV; Sherman variants (105, "Zippo", Calliope) etc.
