Forgotten hope 2.48 manual install (no launcher)

i have a simple question: do i need to remove my previous version to install 2.48? (manually)

You dont need to remove.you only need to start your FH2 Lancher(where you go in the game) and it will automatic start updating.This is the best way to do that

Title says no launcher, so starting the launcher seems not to be an option. To answer OP question - it is recomended to remove your previous version of FH2 (just delete "fh2" folder in your bf2\mods directory) but IIRC you don't have to do that because 2.48 full installer can do it for you, it will ask you about it in the beginning of installation.
