The South African Reconnaissance Car was, like it's name seems to indicate, was a reconnaissance vehicle. The original armament of one Boys rifle and one machine gun was considered inadequate by the British and the modified their Marmon-Herrington (like they called it) to carry various different weapons, including 20 mm autocannons. I have not heard that it would ever be used as an AA vehicle. This, of course, doesn't mean that you couldn't do that in FH2.
Same for the SDKZ 222. IRL and both ingame people used them as AA weaponary

and it dies from 2 at-rifle shots.
still the verison we got ingame is a field modified version, using captured italian autocannons, most likely from the Carro Armato L6/40.
I wouldn't think so due to the HE on the L6/40 having less splash than a rifle bullet. I'm talking HE mode, too.

Unless it was fixed recently, been forever since I've been in one.

meh I don't like this vehicle.... The auto cannon feels and fires like shit.  The drop is pretty big too!

I prefer my Daimler :D
My ingame name is [PUG]mr.hanky1945

+1

Crusader AA is nothing compared to Crusader MK III armed with 6 pounder when its about the AA capabilities. But thats mostly due the slow planes.

Only problem with the screenshot is that i rarely make them since my game freezes for about 3-4 seconds when making one. It kinda always makes both jpg/png and it takes like ages to save that apparently :(

Well if you have XFire that's the easiest way. Or some other community app.

yes and no, its the breda 20mm AA gun, the L6/40 has the tank version but it's the same gun and was used against both ground and air

That happens to me aswell, I just pressumed it was my PC that was to blame but I guess not now. A pain in the ass having 2 copies of every screenshot taken  ::)

Yeah the Marmon is my weapon of choice when facing stiff, dug-in German defences. It breaks them down nicely from long range as long as you remember to move in and watch for the pissed 88/pak gunners respawning as AT riflemen.
