Which BF Titles Have You Played More Than 20 Hours?

My suggestion for a poll was more in line of people who only bought bf2 to play this (although I seem to recall we had that poll once already).


I did try out most of the titles listed, and recognized all of them but only a few made me waste a comparable number of hours to this very mod (others were mostly dead by the point I got a chance to play them).

Also this is missing quite a few mods (such as AIX, PoE, Alpha Project etc.)

I used to play. A lot actually. BF42 was my game of choice for a long time but only because of all the mods kept me playing it. I have all the titles up to BF2142 (minus Modern Combat since I dont have PS2 or whatever the fuck it was on).

How would you know if I do or dont play BF games? Are you NSA or just throwing in wild assumptions?

Besides, why cant I imagine you as a 14 year old who dont know what mods are while you can imagine me not having played any BF games?

Also, when you are 14, you have nothing but time unless you work in a child labor camp.

Battlefield 1942, only singleplayer, same with Forgotten Hope.
Battlefield Vietnam, only singleplayer

Battlefield 2 was when I really got into the series and multiplayer. I can't remember how much I played, it's in hundreds of hours. Once FH2 was released, I stopped playing vanilla BF2 and I now have way more hours in FH2 than in vanilla.

Battlefield 2142. Bought it pretty late with only a couple of servers running at the time. Most were playing the Girbraltar map non-stop, with infantry only and no friendly fire. Just constant grenade spamming and just pure rubbish. Stopped playing it quite quickly, I played the demo more than the actual game. Most of the time it just felt like Battlefield 2 with new skins.

Battlefield 3. Played 50 hours and stopped. The series went too close to CoD with quick-grenading, quick-knifing, narrow and small maps and too fast paced game play.

Haven't bothered to even try BF4.

Since Steam says that I have played 840 hours of TF2 (actually more than that since I played before Steam started keeping track), and I do not play that anymore...I would say that in FH1 alone I had easily over 1000+ hours in that.

I would say probably 500+ hours in FH2...probably a lot more than that, but it doesn't feel like it compared to the time I spent with FH1.

Wow, I can't believe we all forgot about BF1918.  I played that for at least 20 hours.

BF1942 pretty much got me into PC gaming.  I was really good at it and joined a clan, and one day a member left to spend more time playing some mysterious mod called FH...

Besides FH and FH2 I find little entertainment value in the other BF games though.  Always wanted to give 2142 a try and I also never got to play BF1918.

Ah yes, BF1918. Only sad thing for me is that i have never seen it on a populated server. I only played it single player so far, but the bots their AI isn't what i hoped for. Really nice game though.

Yep, strange that BF1918 is missing. It was a great piece of art like so many other BF1942 mods. I could go on with all the little mods that I tried. The Songoku and the Siege mod were pretty awesome aswell but I just played them in SP. Santa mod was awesome fun for LAN parties. Do people still make LAN parties these days btw? BF1942 was my first game that I bought and I quickly found Forgotten Hope, DC and EoD. When BF2 came out I instantly searched for news about FH2 and I will never forget the first trailer for FH2 with that Stuka diving. After that some time passed because I had no proper PC and I played different kinds of games, mostly SP though.

Played a bit of BF2142, BFV until I got really into multyplayer gaming with FH2. I only bought BF2 to play FH2 and it is the game I spend the most time with, first offline and later online. I played BC2 quite often actually but it just lacks alot of things that make the BF franchise what it is and I have far less hours compared to FH2. Never even touched BF3 or BF4 and it will take a miracle if I ever buy a BF title again.

Also missing the Battlefield Heroes - the wacky Battlefield spin-off free to play that used to be really nice with a lovely story about cartoon WWII, but has since turned into a big cash-sucking cheater-infested swamp with all kinds of ridiculous content.

And also the Apache Thunder's Battlefield Heroes '42 mod - the Battlefield Heroes for cheapskates .
