You can have many different animated playermodels in bf2. but not at the same time. We are only allowed to have 1 Set of Bones ( you need those for animations) at one Time. I saw running horse in BF2 engine before but again. Horse or Human! what do you want?

Also, those missing the long or "greatcoats", modelling and animating them might have been more difficult than it would have been worth in the end.

Correct, this has proven to be pretty much impossible in BF2.

Anyway, nice news update! Short and sweet, but showing excellent new stuff in an awesome quality! I really love that white-washed helmet and the different camouflage suits. Unfortunately no great coats, but you don´t always get what you want.
I wonder, though, if these models can be used on the Eastern Front, too?
Can´t wait for the "big announcement", too!
