Of course there is no difference, since they are ported BF42 maps and not FH1 maps. FH1 maps would be Saipan or Tarawa etc.

oh so you wanted fh1 maps ported instead? i misunderstood your statement then, but im sure we will get to those stock fh1 maps eventually as well.

also i never played fh1, i was too interested in dcfinal  so i never heard of that mod before fh2  ;)

Saipan 1944, Tarawa and Tulagi (from FH1 mappack) are the only maps which have any chances to get any close to FH2 standards if ported correctly. Those maps were simply awesome!

I honestly do not care about fh2 standards or if any maps that i port over will ever make it into the actual fh2 mod. This is something I do purely for fun and for others to enjoy, nothing more.

I know that and I enjoyed your last pacific theathre maps very much, also it's unlikely to happen anyway that they will make it into the mod, but if you haven't play FH1 you definately need to check out those maps, it's simply hard not to fall in love with them :D

Tarawa might be the greatest pacific map ever made. Storming the beach while hellcats (wildcats?) flew overhead 8) God dammit that map was amazing.

I did import the heightmap etc into fh2 for tarawa, also made it 100% of it's real size and such. But didn't get any further than that.

It didnt have naval battles, but it was for sure the best and prettiest pacific landbattle map

I remember losing my shit over Lilliput too just because it had Australians in the Pacific

Tarawa
Tulagi
Saipan 1944
Lilliput
Midway 1942

All good maps. let's just turn this into a Pacific nostalgia thread ;)

Working on this motor car.

Will probably be doing the handles as alpha transparencies or if you guys have another idea I am open to suggestions.

Cool, very nice!

For the handles it's probably a good idea just to model them.

As for windows take a plane, copy it and rotate 180 degrees on the same axis so they match up on all sides.
I really don't know much about maya, but once you export it to BFmesh view, the end goal is to have an alpha texture for the windows (uv map them), then you can change to "alpha blend" in bfmesh view as well as save it.

However, this is all assumed if you are exporting this to BF2. :)

Thanks for the advice!

Windows sound good.  I'm going to have a few different versions of this motor car,  two destroyed (one for snow) and two pristine (one for snow)
