Has anybody noticed that the number of servers has dropped drastically. There are about 1/5 as many servers as before, and which ones show up keeps changing. Very peculiar, since there are rarely any populated FH servers at all. If anybody else has FH1 could they check to see if this has happened to them as well; I may have to switch to FH2 if this is not on my end.

Also, this seems to be affecting all Bf1942 servers, not just FH ones.

I was rather surprised that it dropped by what looks like a factor of 5 in the space of one server refresh...

Did you check your filters ?

PB is no longer supported by Bf1942, but I believe there might still be a Pb filter on the server refreshments list.

I'm just suggesting :)

Wow, I'm surprised you got this far. I haven't been able to get a good server for FH1 here in Amsterdam for about two to three years now (I think around the time the first FH2 came out). I was surprised it's still being played.

Luckily I now have a PC that can handle FH2, but damn, I miss my FH1.... :(

I wrote in another thread that yesterday night around 10 pm GMT+1 there was one almost full server and one half full server, both with good ping for euro players. I find this amazing. I couldn't join though because they were playing a map-pack I didn't have.

I don't miss it because I still play it.  :)  Pixelfighter server is occupied pretty much every day. Even though there are some server-side mods of many maps, I find that a small price to pay to still be able to behold the glory that is FH1. I'm off to play market garden now...

Now I just came back from a round of Midway and half a round of Omaha. Apparently Pixelfighter have added gliders to Omaha now. We were 56 players in total when I logged out.

I'm so gonna install FH1 again!  :)

I just hope I get a good ping for those few servers that are still out there. I remember I "quit" playing because I simply couldn't find any servers anymore. But I did change to a faster internetaccount a couple of weeks ago. Maybe that will "extend my reach" a bit.

BTW, is there another way of connecting to servers than just the "join internet game" option? I mean, is it possible to connect to a particular ip-address that's not in your regular server-list and still get good ping?

I stopped playing FH1 when the HSLAN FH1 server went down. It was the only decent European server IMHO. The two other servers would be either TDP(bad due do massive serverside modding) and pixelfighter (idem dito, but to a lesser extend)

FH1 is dying.The only server running with some people is PFC,and believe it,you wouldn´t like to play there.
