And that's why I said that archery is better in Skyrim than what it was in Oblivion.

Due to a terrible mix-up in scale, I put a fully fuelled Soyuz into orbit.

Sins of a Solar Empire. Very cool RTS game, only down side being that one game can last insane time. We just finished 4 player FFA game, with 2 players at the end destroyed, while me and kitty were allied. Game lasted about 6 hours and if kitty and me would have not allied, it could easily have lasted maybe 3 or 4 hours more.

Some Silent Hunter 4.

The date is August 30, 1942. The mission; to patrol south of the Japanese main island, Honshu, and engage and sink anything we come across.

It's a foggy day, as Pike and her crew approaches the hunting grounds. Visibility is decent, yet low enough to stay on the surface during the day, despite being close to enemy patrol areas.

The sonar man calls out two merchant contacts, apparently without any escorts. I mark their position to guesstimate their heading, and I move to intercept what looks to be the first catch of the patrol.

I mark where their course intersects mine, and draw a circle indicating my desired engagement range. My "attack bubble", so to say.

However, by now the weather has deteriorated a lot, and I wonder if I'll even be able to engage my targets.

Closing on my desired attack position, my crew are all on battle stations. Deck gunner is not amused by the weather.

It appears that my course prediction was decent, but slightly off. I'll have to adjust my intercept point.

Approaching my attack position, I dive to be 100% sure to avoid detection.

I'm in position, and the targets are on course. The wait begins.

They should be right there, but I can't see anything in this weather.

Then suddenly..   Jackpot. A large troop carrier. That's some easy tonnage right there.

But I'm too slow, and he slips back into the fog before I have time to set and fire my torpedoes. Luckily, the second ship appears just afterwards. As seen here I mistakenly identify it as the same type of ship as the first one as I rush to fire a salvo before it disappears like the other one.

Because I rushed the torpedo calculations, all torpedoes miss. Slightly pissed off I surface the boat to pursue them. Since I now know their ship types, I know that they do not carry any defensive guns at all.

They must have seen my torpedoes and gone evasive, because even though I'm at flank speed I can barely catch up. After a few minutes I'm around 700m behind them.

Can't see shit captain.

Aha! I finally catch up, and begin targeting my torpedoes.

Success!

It appears that my torpedoes were quite effective.

The ship burns for a little while, until..

While she sinks in the background, I check the tonnage. Not a bad catch at all. Now for the second ship.

After catching up to the second ship, I start plinking away with my deck gun.

Against a ship this big, the deck gun isn't the most effective weapon. So I check my torpedo reload progress. Y U NO reload faster?!

Then I realize I still have a full compliment loaded and ready to go in the aft. So I devise a brilliant plan to overtake the ship and use those instead.

However, before I have time execute my plan, this happens;

After a job well done, I head back below to make sure everything is in order. Yep, creepy ear-dude has got that wall covered.

I sail on for a while, until I come across another unescorted merchant. This is almost too good.

I intercept, and given the conditions, decide to go straight at it with the deck gun. This one gets a little mad and tries to shoot back with an AA gun.

It has little effect though when it comes to saving his ship.

There we go.

Oh, don't mind me. Just passing by.

As I surface the following morning the storm has passed. Since my patrol is completed, I set a course back home.

On my way back I encounter a patrol consisting of two destroyers. I don't want to push my luck, so I hide and let them slip by.

From there on out, it's smooth sailing all the way, apart from the occasional scout plane. The USS Pike arrives back home at Pearl Harbour, and lives to fight another day.
Total tonnage for this trip; 31333.

So this is what keeps me busy.

I mean, first getting the cobblestone, then coal, with them get stone, then craft Stonebricks, build.

Its sooo slow, i usually go to a mine i have a couple of hundred meters away from our main base with 3 iron pickaxes, enough for 13 x 64 cobblestone. Problem is that i ran out of Coal. And i dont wanna go to caves because i dont have torches, wich require coal. Duuh!

No cheats used, cheats for putos. Not like the guy that plays in that server who cheated himself alot of diamonds, damn you cant /op people now.

Dont mind the Dirt stairs, they're there because its the only way to get to the 3rd floor.

Your pic doesn't show. You can make charcoal by burning wooden logs in furnace. It's huge waste of good wood, but make just some charcoal to light your way to real coal.

I would not have raised a finger in that peasouper. You don't see anything until you almost crash into another boat. And while you hope for some heavy freighter, you'll get a fishtrawler at best and an enemy destroyer at worst case. Only chance to raise visibility is to use Sonar, thus diving once in 30 minutes. But then you will have to identify the propeller noise properly. Horrible task.

With that fog, I'd go to operation area, and if I'd already be there, I'd idle for a couple of days until the mist is gone.

But well, Kudos, nice kills.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

I dont understand how Farmers can recruit soldiers and mercenaries?

Its like, i mean, how can this, what is this i dont even

That was a month after i captured Tihr from Kingdom of Swadia as the Marshal, fortunely they gave it to me. In our endless wars (2 month long wars haha) with Vaegirs we've lost Wercheg, Sargoth and Tihr, all of our Towns, among them, every castle except for two.

We quickly reorganized our Army, we captured Sargoth once only to fall in the next couple of weeks, Tihr too, but we lost it at the hands of Vaegirs. When the war against Swadians started, King Ragnar named me Marshal. I led an army to retake Tihr (Recently taken from Vaegirs by Swadians) wich had a weak garrison (Swadia has lost all of their towns, Uxhal, Praven, Suno and Dhirim), about 122 men. Like every town battle, it was fought in the walls. And after some losses and carnage, the town fell and I was named its lord.

After fighting off the counterattacking Swadians, we got Hrus Castle wich is not far from there, NO threat for our Town now, we safe!.

So Peace, or cease fire, and Vaegirs and their INVENSIBLE army attacked Nords. My Garrison had around 120 Men and 130 Prisoners, the plan was to hold Tihr as much as possible. After fighting off small bands of Vaegir troops near my town, a big force came up. I considered staying in Tihr and dying (Beign prisoner, you never die) with my men, like an hero. But i was too risky, i havent lost a battle in AGES. So i went to manage the garrison, and gathered my elite units, the Vaegir Boyar (lord) i had in my Prision and my top prisoners (Swadian Knights, lot of $$$ for them).

Went to the castle and took all my shit from there, my collection of weapons and armor too. Spoke to a lord that was hiding in the castle. Set free ALL prisoners except for 20. The city was ready for battle.

840 enemies stormed the city, there wasnt much to do rather than a fanatical and worthless defense, of course, i ran away with my precious prisoners and goods. The Garrison was quickly crushed, and Tihr was once again in Vaegir hands. Apparently there was a relief force coming to Tihr but it never made it, i found it close to Curin Castle (north) and it didnt have too much men, roughly 300 Soldiers. I will return.

Me playing some Day of Defeat, again.

Me and two friends are still playing now and then every week, it's great. Easy, simple, works on pretty much any modern computer without any fuzz and now we have even found the perfect server playing only classics such as Caen and Charlie and the all-time favorite of all maps in my book, any game: Avalanche.

Here we're trying to recapture the square on Avalanche, the Germans gave us a hard time here constantly forcing us to take other routes because of snipers and a lot of MG34s and MG42s

One of my favorite things about Day of Defeat is the room-to-room fights than can break out on Avalanche, fighting from room to room, blasting my Thompson through thin wooden walls, throwing grenades in and then rushing in after the explosion and just spraying and praying.

In this picture we had some problems with Americans rushing in towards our last flag trying to flank it from behind.

Here I have just captured the Axis gun position and I'm covering some friends who move upwards towards the last flag.
