Hello and welcome back to another update of No Man’s Land. For today’s update, we have a new weapon ingame.
We already showed you the render of the MG 08/15, but not this beast ingame. The MG 08/15 was a German water-cooled light machine gun, introduced in April 1917. In total the MG 08/15 was the most common German machine gun deployed in WWI, with about 130 000 MG08/15 manufactured during WWI. There was also the MG08/15 air cooled version, but this was used in airplanes only.

On a second note: No Man's land minimod is very close to being done! We just need to finish some important things in order for it's release. Please, join us if you can either map, model or code, even help us with some work as a freelancer...
This is all for tonight’s news, we hope you can stay with us for the next update! And don’t forget to visit our main forums at www.nmlmod.forum-motion.com and our support websites, Forgotten Honor and Inside 1918!

Almost done? awesome, cant wait to test this out.

I don´t really like the MG08/15 (and prefer the Madsen instead) but ingame it looks quite good and I´m looking forward to "shoot" it.
Also great news that you´re almost done with your minimod! Can´t wait to finally play it. I just hope you have added some "real" WW1 maps with lots of trenches and craters.
-
cant wait to play this! ;D
Nice job ;)
-
Thanks all
to Homer: Yes, the trench map is one of that which is in progress :P

As far as I know, they didnt have many Madsens in front line duty.
But hey, great update :D

It wasn´t used in such a big number as the MG08/15, but the Germans used them as stop gap meassure to make up for the lack of light machine guns. They went even so far and created so called "Musketen Battailone" that were solely equipped with Madsen LMGs.
Here´s (http://web.archive.org/web/20071214123015/http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/20th_century_warfare/id73.htm) a good read about the use of Madsen LMGs in the German army.
Thanks all

The BF1918/2 one.

Amazing screenshots, no HUD makes everything so nice...

Can't wait to put the fear of Stuka in people with much older planes (first heavy bomber made by the Russians, anyone?) like the Albatros IIV or the Nieuport, or even the S.E. 5 Expiermental aircraft! Or a voisin, or something like that. Good luck with you're mod, and be sure to model more than just planes, guns, attack whistles, trenches, and uniforms! I'm sure it'll be just as good as FH2
